I got the quesabarria and rice and both were excellent. The beef was really tender and the rice tasted like it had been cooked in some kind of broth. I thought the house margarita had too much sour mix and had to ask for napkins and water and fetched my own silverware but will return for the food!

All you smell in this place is the cleaner they use on the floors and tables. It is a crazy overpowering smell. Even when you have your food all you smell is the cleaner. Most Mexican restaurants or restaurants in general all you smell is the food. As Copper River the atmosphere was on point. La Cabana has this awesome building but the worn out sticky menus they have, the music that plays from a radio station with advertisements or talking, the strange salsa bar set up, the unused pizza oven and the dirty bathrooms all take away from this place really really badly. Hopefully they will turn it around before too many people stop coming. I will say the food is good, the salsa is good and everyone working is nice. I will give it another try.

I came with my family to see if this place would be good for my birthday. The food was reasonably priced and high in quality. I ordered the grilled fish fillet, my expectations were blown out of the water. The fish was tender, and well seasoned, it came with rice, beans, and salad. The salsa bar had full customization of whatever you like. Portion sizes were amazing. The size of each meal was more than what we payed for. Thanks La cabana!Vegetarian options: My father and my brother are both vegetarian, they enjoyed their meals and had leftovers to take home.Wheelchair accessibility: My brother is in a power chair. He had better seating in this restaurant than 80% of all restaurants in North Carolina.

Food and drink came out quick! It was good, server was a little impatient despite how empty it was. Love the mudslide, would come back just for drinks next time. Salsa bar is kind of in a weird spot

DELICIOUS and expansive menu. Highly recommend the Quesabirria - the beef is so tender and juicy and mixed with the cheese: so many chef's kisses. Having been a former Copper River Grill, the interior is gorgeous. Very clean and well-maintained.

One of, if not the best, Mexican restaurants in the area. They took over the previous Copper River restaurant location, so the interior is very well done, pleasant seating and decor. We've eaten there 8 times so far and it has become a favorite. A very large menu, and everything has been excellent. I am particularly fond of the Burria Chan beef noodle soup, very rich broth with a large portion filled with tasty meat. Excellent !

Nice Mexican restaurant. Typical of most us Mexican type restaurants in this area . Chips, salsa, and a variety of dishes with good enough taste. They charge for using your credit card. Not great but satisfactory.

Love the atmosphere and building... beautiful fireplace....excellent service even if they don't understand half of what you say... sign language and broken Spanish got me through. Enchiladas were just not good.. BIG CHUNKS OF CHICKEN??? maybe it's a regional thing.. but I am used to pulled or shredded meat....beans and rice mediocre at best.

This is not the place to eat. We got there right at 11 am and @11:45 we just got our food. A group of Mexican workers ( I'm not a prejudice person)came in around 11:20 and placed a to go order and therefore we got put on the back burner literally. When we did get our steak fajitas the steak was so burnt we could even eat half of it. We will not be going back

I was pleasantly surprised by how good my food was. I got the spicy shredded chicken enchiladas. They were very very good. My girlfriend got the nachos, which she liked. The restaurant itself is huge because it used to be Copper River. The service was pretty good, not the best, but good enough. The picture of the food below and one drink was $28.50 before tip. Very good prices.

Four of us ate at La Cabana today for lunch and each had a different meal. We all said our food was very fresh tasting and good. The portions are very generous, the included chips, bean dip and salsa were great. We ate two baskets of chips. Our server was very personable and helpful. The restaurant is very pretty. We plan to add LaCabana to our rotation of local restaurants. Asheville has many Mexican restaurants and I think this is one of the best!
