Mama's and Beer is a fantastic restaurant known for its great staff and delicious food. The salsa bar is one of the best in Asheville, especially since "Ole Guacamole" is no longer around. They are generous with the protein in their dishes. The house margaritas are a steal at $5, especially on Sundays with daily specials on drinks and food. The burritos are flavorful, with generous portions at a low cost. Visitors from California have praised the authentic Mexican cuisine, particularly the table-side guac, Chili Verde Burrito, and Steak Fajitas. Although there have been some service delays, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere has Hispanic cantina vibes. A must-visit in Asheville, especially for those near Tunnel Road.
