Ate at Mother’s cafe, just had to stop by in for a baguette for the road as we left town!Chris was friendly and helpful, and the baguette’s met our expectations as best in Asheville. Will be back next time!

Amazing breads. The trumpet mushroom focaccia was delicious (and vegan)!

Absolutely delicious. Got the omelet and the French toast and it was phenomenal

Expensive, but one of the best unique bakeries in the world. Pretzel was meh to us, although it gets a lot of great reviews. But the Focaccia bread is to die for. We tried the olive & something focaccia and the orange, creme friche and pistachio focaccia. You've never ever had focaccia like the ones baked at Mother!

Yummy bread - and the jambon beurre is always a hit when I'm just passing through town for a quick bite.

Cute little spot to grab some bread, bagels, English muffins, etc.No coffee, but good wine options if you're ready for a drink!Very nice and informative staff.

I am so glad to have a place like mother in Asheville. I love the Sicilian olive focaccia! I have always had friendly interactions with the people behind the counter and I have never had to wait in a line for this excellent bread. If you are lucky enough to see jambon beurre while you are here, buy one!Parking: Parking can be tricky in the area, especially with the ongoing construction projects nearby. I’ve been lucky and always found a spot in off hours.

I absolutely love this place :) I had a ham and butter baguette at their cafe location, and it was my favorite sandwich. I had sandwiches in paris before - really amazing ones, but this one stood out the most! My family and I drove 3 hours to Asheville to go hiking for a day trip. This place was a third of the reason why we went on this trip. I had hyped up this place so much, and I had already checked Google, and it said that this location was open on Mondays :( they're closed monday-wednesday. Still had a great time! Just wished that the times are updated to accurately reflect the store hours.

Stopped in to grab a loaf and left with a Jambon Beurre and a pesto focaccia. The Jambon Beurre was seriously one of the best we had ever tried and was amazing in its simplicity. The focaccia was also a show stopper. Super friendly and attentive service!

This place is amazingly tasty! All of their bread options are fantastic and you can tell they use high quality ingredients and care about the food they make. The staff is also extremely friendly and personable. This is our go-to spot for a loaf of bread every time!

Update your real hours on google! I drove a long way to get here. This place is closed Monday Tuesday and Wednesday.

I was sorely disappointed when I arrived there to find it closed. According to Google Maps Mother Bread and Wine is open Mondays but sadly they are not and won't be open again until after I leave to head back home

Outstanding sourdough everything. Store front and wine tasting in River Arts District. Cafe in town. The focaccia and babka are excellent. All the different styles look on point, including English muffins, baguette, soft pretzels, brioche, and regular sourdough loaves.

I am leaving a review for the south slope location. I went recently for the first time and was beyond satisfied with everything from the place itself, but most importantly the food. I only ordered and tasted the peach brioche it was out of this world insanely flavored. It was better than I expected, everyone else's food looked beautiful as well. It was morning so I didn't order a sandwich, I will be back and try that for sure. The food is just special there and I defiantly plan on returning many more times. I loved the small touches of fresh flowers and most of all the antique looking plates, I swear it makes the food more tasty!
