Small neighborhood bar and restaurant with outdoor seating. Great food and service. Excellent cocktails and beer selection.

This place is delicious! We enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller, Trout and Etouffee. All were, “oh wow, this is so good,” out loud with your mouth full delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit. Service was great and the vibe is relaxed enjoyment. We sat outside at one of the seven tables, and there are eight or so tables and a big bar inside. Go and enjoy!

We picked this place for our 2nd night in Ashville. It is a quaint little place that has great service and food. Our server was very friendly and recommended several items we asked about. I had the Fried Oyster Po'boy. The oysters were well-fried. I left off the tomatoes and onion so I could taste the oysters. My wife had 5 fried oysters, the seafood dip, and according to her, a very tasty Old Fashioned. If you like local restaurants and seafood, give this place a try.

Great food and local, artsy ambience.Loved the pimento mac and cheese, grilled and raw oysters, and New England clam chowder. Didn’t love the beer.

I don't even know where to begin with this place. Amazing, fresh oysters from 3 locations. The best Cajun potatoes in my life, no exaggeration. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Service was great. The atmosphere was comfortable and lively. I don't really eat seafood so we went for my hubs. He was pleased and left full and happy

Ahh Oyster House! Everything one would want in a local neighborhood seafood restaurant, brewery and bar all in one very small space. After eating the Carolina trout dish so many times I switched to the étouffée, my new favorite. We also had the crawfish bites for the first time and they were a good replacement for fries.Hey O’ House, bet y’all would rock a crawfish special, the Louisiana ones are in season!

Anorexic oysters, etouffe was not good, expensive for what we had. Server was nice and friendly. Disappointed, a couple of years prior I had a good experience.

Love love love this place! Learning about what beer I like -- Stout.I grew up in New England. Tasting clam chowder is a must. More like a soup vs a thick chowder. I don't mind in the least bc less flour or corn starch to thicken something is often healthier. The savory flavors are deliciously perfect.A cup of chowder is the right size when you order a Caesar salad with fried oysters on top.Like Goldilocks, dinner and a beer with the one you love at the bar after a long day, and week, of work, is JUST right!Parking: We walk here in the summers bc we live in the west side of town. Cold weather permitting, parking is nice. It's behind the restaurant. I didn't even know this until neighbors joined us and parked there months ago. Might be nice to have a sign. I don't know. Or, just walk if you can no matter how chilly it is. Chowder will warm you up!

Yoooooo.... don't sleep on this place!!! The oyster selection was excellent. We ordered everything our waitress likes and it did not disappoint! So friendly. The pineapple cilantro margarita was surprisingly refreshing and delicious. I'd definitely come back!

For the first couple years of their existence, I went to Oyster House Brewing very regularly, because I lived on Hanover Street and I could walk up State St to get there. I really like the vibe, I like to sitting outside and especially loved happy hour oysters. Being a culinarian myself, however, I was always disappointed in the rest of the menu. I always felt there wasn't enough seafood, was too limited, and the seafood dishes they did serve were too skewed towards Cajun style. a second minor issue I had was the fact that I don't drink beer. Every time I would go and have oysters, I wanted some decent wine or even better... Some sort of bubbles. Now I don't care if it's champagne, cava, or Prosecco. But to me, that's the thing to drink while you're eating oysters. I kept going to oyster House, and even though I knew they didn't have any bubbly wine, every time I would go- when they asked me wanted to drink- I would ask them if they had sparkling rosé, or champagne, or cava, or whatever... Lo and behold. One day they had cava! What the heck! My plot had worked! And at this time, I had never expressed any dissatisfaction with the menu just went there as a regular/semi regular; ordered oysters and ate a Poboy. Well, if any of this sounds familiar to you (vague disappointment with the food offerings at oyster House, but overall warm feeling towards the space and vibe). BOY OH BOY DO I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU Oyster House got a new chef or KM or decided to up their game... The results are fantastic. The new menu is perfect for the concept & setting. We went on Valentine's Day and wow what a pleasant surprise! All the food was great and I dropped some cash! I know they are no longer a new business but it seems like they have officially now hit their stride. We loved it and i'm sure we'll be back again and again.
