This place really needs a deep clean, it's not the usual standard. The bathrooms were particularly bad, definitely not somewhere you'd want to spend any time. It's a shame because usually these places are spotless. Even the food was only available for takeout, which is a bit inconvenient. Hopefully they can get things back on track soon.

My daughter and I stopped around 4:30pm to get some soup to beat the cold afternoon.
After ordering, we noticed the dining room was kind of empty but all the trash and dirty dishes bins were full.
All the tabletops were dirty. There were at least 5 people behind the counter, also someone with a different color shirt that I think was a manager.
When serving myself coffee I noticed the coffee was lukewarm. When we received our soup bowls there was no bread. I came to ask the cashier (a clueless teenager girl) she said there was none. I proceeded and ask about some crackers, she looked around and said they were completely out of bread. That they just had apples.
No one said I’m sorry, offered at least a piece of sandwich bread or acknowledged what was happening.
Bad service, dirty dining room. Very unprofessional and unfortunate.

The young man who took my order (who looked like a homeless person) asked me to repeat myself a couple times. After I got home I had an incorrect order. Go figure. He seemed more concerned with socializing and joking around then doing his job anyway.

Placed order online and they were making people's food as soon as walked in instead of taking care of existing orders. I came in 5 minutes past when it was supposed to be ready and took them 10 more minutes just to get my sandwich in the oven. Not to mention 3 or 4 different people asking my name and what I ordered.

We were the only customers at the register. There was one customer waiting for food ahead of us at the pick up station. There were 2-3 staff working together at the other end of the counter working. We aren’t generally impatient. We understand there can be a wait and know that customer service isn’t easy work. But the simple principle of acknowledging customers and communicating that you will get to them as soon as possible was not utilized. We were waiting 5 minutes, visible to the staff and were ignored. So we left. That along with the high prices of Panera make it not worth it. Time of day: 3:10ish pm 6.23.24.

What kind of breakfast spot doesn't carry any jelly? Although the service from the employees was wonderful, the interior felt dingy and needed a good deep cleaning. It seems like a lot of Panera chains have really gone down hill over the past few years.

I don't visit Panera bread very often due to the price. A barbecue chicken sandwich and a salad with water to drink was $30. The food was pretty good and the service was great but $30??

Ordered 20 mins before I left so I could get in and out. It hadn’t even been seen by the time I got there and still waited 15 minutes in the store. It was 4 baked items and half ended up being unavailable. Specifically chose this store because the tunnel rd location is pretty bad but it was surprising to see the condition of the store. Looked like they were in the middle of closing, glad I didn’t order any actual food.

Went with friends for a fun lunch after a 'girls day out' including pedicures. It was a relaxing environment and great food. The only down side... they were out of chocolate chip cookies. Maybe next time.

Vegetarian options: Salads are good. If you do dairy, some of the soups will work.

Really enjoyed Panera's cobb salad. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. We will definitely be back!

If I could give this Panera Bread negative stars I would. I ordered my food on the app because I was under a time constraint. When I entered the building, there was only one employee visible. She was elbow deep in an oven, so she gets a pass. There was no one behind the counter and no one in the Togo pickup. I heard loud laughter from the back and someone clapping(?). I waited forever for someone to notice me. When Caitlyn FINALLY realized I was there, she handed me my food. I asked for the corporate number and she immediately got an attitude. She walked to the back and apparently told her co-workers that I was complaining. Another girl came out of the back to see me. I waved at her and she immediately ran back to the back of house. The shift manager, John, came out to tell me he didn’t have the corporate number (how convenient). When I told him that I had to wait for someone to acknowledge me, he said they were taking out the trash. It takes EVERY employee in the building to take out the trash? I didn’t see any of them wash their hands! Caitlyn stated that they were just laughing and having a good time (while I was waiting for them to acknowledge my presence). John told her to be quiet as I was explaining what happened. When I arrived to my destination, I realized that I had a completely different order. I ordered a BLT w/ Avocado and a cup of broccoli and cheese soup. My name was on the bag! I received four cups of soup, some kind of flatbread and a salad. My wrong order tells me the employees aren’t paying attention to the orders they are making or bagging. They are giving away lots of product for free because they wanna laugh, have a good time and not acknowledge the people who provide the money for their paychecks. The restaurant it self, was very dirty. There were food particles on most of the tables in the front. There were a few dirty tables with dishes on them. There was also a fowl odor like truck stop bathroom.Save yourself some time and hassle and eat somewhere else! There are way too many restaurants in Asheville that would love to have your business. Panera Bread on Hendersonville Road is obviously not one of them.

Overpriced. Sandwich bread was dry and very little inside the sandwich. Danish was stale as well.
