The best Birria tacos around! The entire meal was delicious, rice, beans, chips and salsa were all fresh and delicious, the portions were big! Great customer service, very friendly.

Yesterday was my first time at Papas Express in Asheville. Not only was I impressed with the amount of options on the menu, but the authenticity and quality of these dishes is top notch. I ordered tamales, with beans and rice and a drink. I was also given one if each type of salsa. WOW!! The meat in the tamales (pork and chicken) were soooo tender and juicy, packed tons of flavor, and again, tasted just like grandmas. ALL of the salsas were great to eat along with the tamales or with the fresh and salty tortilla chips they included with the meals. The Spanish rice was perfectly cooked and had that great Mexican tomatoey taste!! The refried beans couldn’t have been done any better. I would go back to the Asheville mall JUST to eat here any or every day of the week.

I am a return customer. Papa's Express has set the standard so high, it's hard to enjoy the same dish at another restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. Everyone is polite and friendly.

Today was the first day they opened back up since the storm hit. I am very pleased with the food and service. The manager was passing out candy to little kids and the cook and cashier were just as amazing. They had an awesome way of looking at things, even gave me a sample of the carnitas before I bought them. I will be back for sure!!!

The food was fantastic! You can tell everything is made to order and fresh. The portions were ginormous and the lady who took our order was so nice and helpful. We don’t get to the mall often but we’ll come back to eat here!
