Great service by Alissa is about the only thing going for this place. Cold eggs and a really picked over breakfast buffet. Well below the breakfast standard of typical HGI I stay in.

Website shows an expansive breakfast menu. Only a buffet was available when we went.

They have the best hotel buffet I've ever had!!! The service was excellent and the price was practically a steal! I highly recommend, locals as well!!!

Such a lovely experience having dinner at the Pillar Restaurant. The smoked chicken wings and fries were delicious and flavorful. The views were amazing and the service were great. There is a bar but we’re not drinkers or anything, so I requested a hot cocoa since it was nippy outside and that was prepared well.
We picked the one evening that they weren't serving cocktails, transitioning from one menu to another apparently... hmmm. Instead I was offered a Rum Punch at $15 a glass. One server said I could try a sample, the other said no. I was asked if I wanted one anyway, I said no thank you.... then it arrived anyway. I said I hadn't ordered it, but then the first server said, at least you can try a sample now ... the second guy still said no!!! Unbelievable. On top of all this fiasco, my husband ordered a double bourbon on the rocks and wasn't told the price, when the bill came, not only had they tried to charge us for a drink we hadn't had (the non sample - able Rum Punch which I hadn't even touched.) but we were also charged $48 for a double bourbon... horrendous, terrible service, the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. We left and wouldn't return. We had driven 7 hours that day and were looking forward to a drink on the balcony to relax, couldn't have been further from relaxing and the bill was insult to injury.
Love this bar. We have been staying at hotel since 2016 and enjoying Pillar. The view is amazing. But, the customer service is the key. Servers aren't necessarily assigned a table. Every server is attentive to every table. The result of this is fascinating. Best customer service I have ever seen in a bar. Beautiful view.. Great music... fun atmosphere. Love the Pillar Bar.
Great place with a great welcoming staff.
Great place! Perfect for holiday parties!
Pillar goes all out on creating holiday cheer with a ton of festive decor, music and wonderful seasonal drinks. We initially came here on the Rooftop Bar Tour and returned a couple nights later to enjoy on our own.

The rooftop bar was great. Delicious food great service. But the hotel staff and rooms SUCK. WE paid 289.00 a night for a room with NO TV which I kinda DUMB ! Anyway we will not ever stay here again. Front desk folks are jackasses rude. We had our reservations over a week for a room as we were traveling here from Amelia Island Florida. It took over 35 minutes to check in they had our reservations all screwed up. Absolutely a joke I've never experienced anything like this at a hotel. Our total experience was CRAP except for the rooftop bar. I give the folks up there working a 5 star rating.
Had the huevos rancheros, poached firm whites, soft yolks, chorizo, black beans on a tortilla with added avocado. Kerrie was on top of everything. Enjoyed the lite bright interior.
Come for a fabulous view of the sunset and enjoy good food and drinks! We loved our server, Ally!
Order from the creative craft cocktail list and enjoy it outsode overlooking the mountains and Asheville! This hot spot is an oasis. Indoor and outdoor seating with a beautiful mountain skyline view. The terrace seating outside is mixed including couch groupings, low and high top tables. The live music gives the restaurant and bar a lively feel even though it's on top of the Hilton Garden Inn. Fire pits and heaters round out the ambiance and comfort levels. Niiice!
Service is good but cannot recommend. Ordered eggs fried hard; they were gooey and runny on the inside but overcooked on the outside. The bowl of fruit on the side was meager.
