Ate there tonight. Can’t believe how bland the food was. It was just a piece of grilled salmon with rice. The waitress brought our drinks after the appetizer and after our meal was brought out. First time last time.

Wheelchair accessibility: One steep ramp in the front. Not so good.

We had lunch here last Monday, and the food was very, very good. The service was excellent as well. The only reason we didn’t feel we had a five star experience here was that this restaurant lacked a little in ambiance. It’s not bad inside, but maybe some flowers on the table…or maybe just a candle or even a battery operated votive would be good. As stated, service was great and it’s not loud inside which is nice. If you’re looking for a pleasant Mediterranean meal in Asheville, Pompodoros is definitely worth a stop. You won’t be disappointed.

Such a shame bc the food is amazing although a bit on the pricey end. But several problems. For one their menu prices don’t match online so expect your to go bill to be much higher. Bigger problem is service. They are rude. Belittling to customers even once I clearly proved them wrong. They insisted an order was mine that clearly wasn’t. They were wrong and beyond rude when expressing such but then developed an even worse attitude when proven wrong. And again with online menu, they’re intentionally trying to screw you. It’s very simply for a business to update their google search, they choose to have misrepresentation out there bc if a customer comes in expecting one price and gets charged almost 25$ difference even though angry and likely to not return , they’re gonna pay and get their food so the place still gets away with it . It’s a shame but also why the place is always empty now

Vegetarian options: Warning between bar , tv and even if there’s only 1 or 2 customers it stays loud

Parking: Parking a little harder at the moment due to storm repair

Kid-friendliness: It is a family restaurant I suppose

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it is

Host / server had super long fingernails. Gross. Long, silver painted fingernails. Germy. A big No No in food service. Sad as I really liked this place. Probably won't be back.

Pizza was near perfect, 9.5/10 and the bread pudding was a solid 10, the only reason I gave atmosphere 4 stars is because we were only picking up an order.

Ok, so I have been here before. I think I had the chicken parmesan, either way the marinara was amazing. So then today I come again, going to try a pizza. The toppings looked amazing, it was just beautiful. Sadly I had ordered it with extra sauce as that is what makes the pizza. So there is the large pizza, looking great. I eat a couple of bites, notice its off, peel back all the toppings to find hardly any sauce at all on it. I try to comprise, I explain the situation and ask for a side of sauce, and they promptly bring me out cold sauce to put on a hot piźza. I then just asked for a box in case my office staff cared to eat it, paid the bill, left a 20 dollar cash tip, and just left. I never leave reviews, but here it is almost 5pm and I am starving. Thank God it's almost dinner time. I really do not understand why, even if you missed the xtra sauce part, why u put so little sauce on your pizzas, I mean once again, that is the base, that is the foundation. I will be back, but I will never order pizza again. Thanks for listening.

We ordered Spaghetti with Meatballs and Chicken Gorgonzola through Uber Eats on 11/30/2024. The spaghetti dish was decent small portion and tasted like it was out of a can. The Chicken Gorgonzola had zero flavor, hardly any chicken, and what chicken was there all of it was fatty and chewy. Thankfully it came with a lot of pasta so that was the only thing filling about it. Not sure if it was an off day or Uber but we were very shocked by the tastelessness of such a highly regarded restaurant.

All around a five stars. The waitress was so sweet, but the food was even better. Due to Helene, they had limited items (Pizza only) and it was one of the BEST pizzas i’ve had. The crust had an amazing crunch and it was thin crust, Super cheesy, and loaded with toppings (they are more than generous with toppings)

I loved this place. Dark and comfortable with an outdoor option. The service was just what you'd hope for, a helpful human being who cares about your dining experience. The mussels in cream sauce were amazing. The meat in the gyro was a bit dry/ chewy. Lamb stew would be a welcomed menu item.
Definitely will come back!
