This is easily the best place to get Thai food in Asheville and around - and I say that having been to no less than 10 other Thai places in the area. Why? Noodles. Pad see ew and drunken noodles are actually fresh here, as in wide, soft, perfect textured noodles that absorb every flavor - unlike the dried noodles most stores just boil and use. And the other reason is portion. Unlike some places, you order here and get a proper, full plate. $15 otd for takeout tops it off. Go here.

I wish I could write a better review for this place but unfortunately, after the experience I had today I have to give it zero stars. I ordered some chicken pad Thai on a Saturday night. Typically I love pad Thai and I always have extras and honestly, I think pad Thai is better when it is leftovers so had no issues in thinking it wouldn’t be good the next day. The pad Thai tasted like there was eggshells in it, but it wasn’t egg shells. It was much bigger clumps of white hard matter, and then I even found hard clumps within the noodles, and the cabbage was unable to be chewed. Again, I’ve ordered from this place several several times before hurricane Helene, which caused me to leave the city for about a year or so, but this was my first time back since then and maybe some things have changed with ingredients and what not. Anyways This place is typically closed on a Sunday so I attempted to call but then shortly realized that they’re closed. I saved the food to bring it back and tried to get a refund or at least get a replacement. So I ended up calling on Monday and when I called the lady who owns the business she sounded pretty rude when I told her about the food quality and request for a refund. However it was kind of hard to understand her because there was a bit of a communication barrier with language. I could tell that she was unhappy with me, not liking the food and wanting a refund, but I just thought maybe there was confusion so I asked if I should come in person and very rudely she said sure. So I shortly arrived at the restaurant and I immediately got a smile until she realized I was a person wanting a refund. She kept like interrogating me with questions with “why?” “why why did you eat it if you don’t like it”. There was about probably 80% of the food left in the box because 20% I attempted to eat when I wanted to eat the food I purchased and didn’t feel the need to put chewed up and spit back out food back in the box. So she just kept shaking her head acting very rude and kept asking me questions like what do you want? I requested a refund once again. She finally gave me six dollars out of the 16 that I spent on the pad Thai on top of an unfortunate tip I left and I just figured that was fine at that point as I was getting pretty anxious with the way she was treating me And it wasn’t worth a fight over seven dollars or so. Short story, she basically told me to not come back and if you don’t like your food well don’t eat it if you want a refund lol and maybe don’t request a refund or you will be shamed away and be treated very rudely and unfortunately I cannot go back to what was once my favorite Thai spot and yeah, I just wanted to share my experience so hopefully people wouldn’t have any similar issues and maybe the owners want to fix some things, but probably not by the way I was treated today. Unfortunate

This place is in the gas station. That’s why I only gave the atmosphere three stars but the food is so delicious and the lady behind the counter was so kind. I will definitely be stopping here again and again. Definitely gonna become one of those places I pick up dinner on my way home. Two entrées and an order of eggrolls was around $40 with tip :)

Everyone I know raves about this place and my experience was everything but. My order was incorrect and she refused to fix it even though I had a confirmation email from them with the correct order. Egg was put in my meal when I specified to leave it off and my order came with two fresh rolls instead of the three listed on the menu. She refused to accommodate for her mistakes or even listen and I will not be doing business there again.

The food is great, especially coming out of a gas station. Very very good. I actually drove 25 minutes to get there. The only disappointing thing there was she was closed cuz she went on vacation! I'm going to miss her for the next two weeks! I highly recommend you go there.

As someone who’s mother is Thai and quite frequently I eat a lot of Thai food, I can happily say that this is the best Thai food I have had since moving to Asheville. Her meals are very authentic and you can really taste the care and time she puts into each meal. The flavors are exotic and very well put together. I always see her working alone, which I give her credit for as to she is very busy throughout the day. She is as sweet as can be and very welcoming. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you want some real Thai food.

Listen up y’all, if you hate this place you’re just a bad person. Yeah the wait time is pretty bad, yeah it’s in a gas station, yeah there’s probably better service other places, but you gotta understand there’s ONE EMPLOYEE AND HER ENGLISH IS BAD. Half of the one star reviews are from butthurt uppity folks who haven’t had 17 orders for 17 things come in at once and had the privilege of having those orders spread across a competent crew of skilled cooks.

THIS WOMAN MAKES THE BEST DAMN THAI FOOD IVE EVER HAD, BY HERSELF, WHILE HER OTHER “COOK” SMOKES AND SCRATCHES SCRATCH OFFS OUTSIDE.

Have some compassion, anyone who works in food and bev will tell you it’s DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to be a one woman operation, the food is DELICIOUS AND I WOULD TIP THE BILL IF I HAD THE MONEY. The wait allowed me to have a meaningful conversation with my girlfriend while enjoying the peaceful night air and a cold drink.

Pon’s may have a long ass wait, but allow the wait to become enjoyable and you open a door most Americans will slam shut immediately.

If you hate the wait time so much go grab an apron and learn the most complicated cuisine in the world, if you don’t have the experience then don’t shit on a sweet wonderful incredibly talented woman who works very hard and makes a DAMN good product.

TLDR: FOOD IS PERFECT, WAIT IS WORTH IT. SOMEONE HELP THIS WOMAN COOK!
