All-around 10/10 experience! The service was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating, and kind. Our group ordered a bit of everything - apps, a mocktail, wine, tea, and dessert - and every single thing was phenomenal. The vibes were perfect, the sound immaculate, and the mid-century aesthetic spot on. Easily my new favorite spot!

I couldn't find the place. I followed Google maps, turned the corner from Louisiana to Haywood, didn't see any signs with this name... So I went someplace else.
Help me find it please, I'll try again.
Great wine list, yet unpretentious vibes.

Our first time visiting Potential New Boyfriend for my daughter's birthday. We enjoyed Dean's suggestion and had the charcuterie board, olives and chocolate Tres Leche with toasted coconut then took truffles home. Our experience was memorable.

Visiting from Philadelphia, this was fine. A local recommended it too us, and she was very confident in that recommendation.
Nice speaker set up, with a guy playing vinyls all night. Drinks were decent but a little spendy for what they were. No spirits, just wine and vermouth. The deserts looked interesting, but it was a little too pretentious for my liking. Seemed like they are trying to hard to be super hip and cool.

This is not your typical ice cream shop! Seating is clusters of comfy couches and fabric covered arm chairs. We had ice cream desserts that were very unique and over the top delicious! Service was personal and friendly. They answered our questions with efficiency. Small venue, but overall fabulous!

They asked if we would like regular or sparkling water with our order we went for sparkling. Little did I know they were going to charge us 8 dollars a bottle which filled our 2 small glasses twice. Charcuterie was good and somewhat reasonable priced 4 chosen items for 20 dollars. They messed up and brought out the wrong cheese on our board which I explained to waiter and she said no problem and brought us the right cheese and let us keep the brie cheese as well. So service was good but not telling me they’re gonna charge me 8 dollar for sparkling water seemed sneaky and not appreciated.

Visiting Asheville for the first time from Western NY & dropped by this little spot. The team is friendly, explained the menu well, and created such a warm atmosphere. We didn’t drink, but huge menu for that. Desserts we got Prosciutto & melon plate, Coconut tres leche & Affogato. Soo unbelievably delicious. Will be back for sure!

The coconut tres leches is unbelievably good.
So glad I popped into Potential New Boyfriend during my first trip to Asheville. I was greeted warmly by Amany, who was also my server. She was super attentive and fun to chat with too. I had a delicious glass of baldini bianco malvasia secca and the whipped ricotta appetizer - both delish!
I loved the ambiance and vibe - great music playing and comfy seats and couches. If I lived in Asheville, I’d be here every week!
Special thank you to Amany who also recommended a great restaurant for me to try which was also fabulous! (Jargon).
Highly recommend Potential New Boyfriend!

This place!!! Expertly designed. I mean absolutely flawless.Upscale without being pretentious. This place would fit in in the hottest locals in New York or London. But we scored it in West Asheville!! An absolute gem!!

I came for the ice cream! When I heard about this place, the ice cream jumped out, although it's also a cool place with wine selections and records being played.
I was deciding between sundaes, and loved the way I was helped with my selection - do you feel more like fruity, or creamy? I was in a fruity mood, and got the blueberry mint sundae. The ice cream was unctuous, the mint brightened the blueberries, there was a thick blueberry compote, the small chunks of lemon cake balanced out the flavor and added a different texture, and the dried mint leaf garnish was crispy. Definitely savored this ice cream, a delight for the mouth!
There were a few ways you could choose wines - not my thing, but helpful to hone in on what taste you want to go for.
