We had a wonderful dinner, ordering the special first course of salmon rillettes and the special squab for the main course. Both were delicious, and the service was very good. Our server was personable and efficient and didn't continually interrupt our meal to ask if everything was great. I rarely order dessert, but I am now hooked on the divine coconut ice cream. I asked for only one boule because I had eaten a large dinner, but I'm sorry I didn't get the full portion!

Ambiance was nice. Food was terrific. But the service was much to be desired. While everyone at the table started eating, I was still waiting for utensils. I asked three times. Two separate people. And they didn't bring our bread.. we had to ask for it a few times. One of my pet peeves is inconsistency with service. When a new couple comes in 15 minutes after you do, but they receive everything including ordering their meal before you do. Especially when you're hungry, and everyone at your table is trying to have eye contact with the servers.. That was annoying. For me. And I didn't want to remember Rendezvous that way. They even flopped the boeuf bourguignon so hard in front of me, the sauce splashed on me.. lol

My husband and I enjoyed a superb dinner recently. He had pate and salmon, I had the chicken cordon bleu. The vegetables were outstanding and the meat so rich and delicious.

We have gone many times and will continue to go because the menu remains dependable and the service is always excellent. I find the indoor ambiance has always felt slightly unfinished. The plastic divider cubicles are left over from the pandemic & I find it a sad reminder. (I realize that it cuts down on the noise and echo and I am sure it cost them a lot.) They should mount more hooks on the walls for coats all around. If I were in charge of the design, I would warm it up, put more French touches in... and put more sound absorption panels up. I prefer the outdoor dining during the summer months while the bocce ball teams play. But we will return time and time again. The owner is a charming man and he understands how to deliver some of the bistro classics.

This was such a wonderful experience. I almost don't want to give a good review so that other people will not discover it! LOL. The trout was simply sublime. I will be back!

Horrible trout dinner. Fish overwhelmed by capers, rice out of a box not cooked but crunchy, and green beans cut in tiny pieces and overcooked. Bottle of wine different year than on menu…2022 not 2019. Removed dinner from bill but did nothing about $51 bottle of wine. Will never go back!!! Better food at Dennys. Service was good.

Second time dining at Rendezvous and I have to say, each time was très magnifique! Tonight our server was Emma was such a delight. I have celiac and she went above and beyond. She went to the kitchen and asked the chef about my options. They made an exception and roasted my veggies instead of using the shared fryer. Highly recommend

We had friends in from out of town and wanted to treat them to a delicious dinner. The food at Rendezvous is consistently delicious! But you have to leave room dessert! Everyone had a great time. My husband and I had the duck and our friends had the salmon. It was fabulous! A great place to dine anytime and especially special occasions. Planning on go there very soon because we never get tired of their food.

I love this place. The food is fabulous and the ambience is wonderful. I enjoyed every bit of Rendezvous. Our server Dimitri provided excellent service and I've never had better escargot or duck. Absolutely delicious.  I highly recommend going to Rendezvous if you're ever in Asheville.
