Freedom of what? Freedom to offer a limited selection of mediocre vegan food? Freedom to flagrantly disregard any and all precautions designed to protect public health during a worldwide pandemic? Freedom to pander to a small but vocal population of @#&holes who only care about themselves? Yeah, fine: I'll exercise my freedom to dine at responsible establishments who actually offer a quality product. Update: they're defunct. No loss. Updated from previous review on 2022-02-24
Awesome food and wonderful staff! I will be back!
Amazing! Delicious food, great customer service. Our favorite place to dine!
Excellent breakfast, and a very helpful staff. Felt right at home.
“Please seat yourself” and apparently serve yourself too. We had a server pass us multiple while greeting others. He didn’t even acknowledge us. We walked back inside to see if any of the 5 empty tables were cleaned off yet in hopes of getting better service inside but nope. We stood there awhile and nobody even spoke to us. Customer service was awful. I’ve been in the industry since I was a teen, no excuses for that experience.
Food was great!
Found out after having the tempeh lettuce tomato multiple times that their GF bread had eggs in it. Grossed out and disappointed because the people there are great, just clueless about veganism and would rather make mediocore breakfast food while preying on animals. The owner claims she cares about health and nutrition but has no idea wtf she's talking about
If you are closed at 9:30 in the morning and you are a breakfast place perhaps try turning OFF your "open" sign and locking your door? And update your online hours and/or Facebook. And maybe try "I'm sorry we are closed" vs simply yelling at us "we're closed!" as we walk in the door.
I wish I could comment on the food, but I was sat outside and handed a menu and left for 20 mins with no water or follow up whatsoever. To say the service was bad is giving them more credit than is due, I received no service at all. I live in the area and will not attempt giving this place my business ever again.
While visiting Asheville, NC this past weekend we ate at Rise 'n Shine for breakfast (04-09-2022). It took just under an hour for us to get our order. This is not a large restaurant and it wasn't that busy. Several customers that were seated after us got their orders ahead of us. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was cold. I didn't want to send it back in fear of another hours wait. We will not be returning!
Restaurantji Recommends
Food and coffee were cold and sub par, especially for the pricing. We always prefer to dine with local businesses while traveling. However, you'd be much better served at a Starbucks or Bojangles over this location. Not worth it
1st ones (party of 3) in the restaurant today and waited 45mins, saw 2 other parties get there plates b4 us. Finally got up and left. No apology, no care, didnt have the courtesy to give drinks to us. DO NOT EAT HERE!
wow, this may be the first review i ever wrote. the food was absolutely awful. almost $14 for the worst eggs benedict i ever have had. greasy burndt potatos & soggy undercooked hashbrowns. i regret eating here to be honest.
My husband and I had breakfast this morning on a rare date - it smelled incredible when we walked in. We are both vegetarian, and were so happy to see so many veg options (local tempeh and veg sausage!), local eggs, Chaga tea.....friendly service and a good vibe!! I’m so happy we gave Rise n Shine a try. We’ll definitely be back!!
Very busy but fast and friendly. Food is.good, hash browns portion a little small. Omelette with goat cheese wonderful. Blackberry basil jam? Clever and great! Green sage is across the street but tired of overpriced food and millennials with attitude. Recommend this place.
