Some hits and some big misses !We ordered some food to go.Soup dumplings 10/10 EXCELLENTDuck spring rolls, nice rolls but WHERE WAS THE DUCK !? 4/10Pan fried noodles with chicken 7/10Mongolian Beef 0/10 … we were given a fried chicken dish in error and obviously didn’t know until unwrapping in our hotel room 15 minutes away.

Is it authentic yes, is it fresh yes, and is the portion size large enough, also yes. Downtown Asheville has a lot of good dining options and this is one of them.I like the open kitchen concept where you can see the chef stir fry your food if you sits at the bar. Service is very attentive, and they did a good job of the interior design, doesn't feel like a regular Chinese restaurant.Love the steam dumplings, regular dish you can taste a little heat from the wok. Of course there are better Chinese food in bigger cities but for Asheville and NC, this is a 5/5 from me.
Live about 40 min away. Always enjoy coming here. Food has always been spot on. The spicy wonton, spring rolls, fried pork dumplings, wonton soup, Generals Tso, pork fried buns, steamed pork dumplings are all excellent. Just wish they offered crispy noodles with the reg wonton soup.Parking: Asheville has little to no parking. The parking lot behind Shanghai was 4.00 per hour 2024-03-23

We had the fried calamari, eggplant bento, and fried pork dumplings. The food came out fast, fresh and exactly as we expected! The real highlight was the excellent service we received from Ady - she was attentive and sweet, couldn't ask for a more satisfying lunch experience.

The atmosphere and service was very well but the food was DISGUSTING!! I ordered the Walnut shrimp and it came out and i couldn’t even see the shrimp it was covered in a HUGE amount of this sweet mayo (miracle whip) sauce and it was DISGUSTING! I even tried to wipe each shrimp off on a paper towel so i could still eat it and it was just gross! I would understand if the shrimp was tossed in the sauce but it was drowning in the sauce and so gross! I left the restaurant nauseous!

I am visiting Asheville for spring break. I have been to Asheville before, but have never been to this place. The place was cute and had good reviews so i had high expectations. The walnut shrimp was drowning in “mayo sauce”. The pork dumplings were undercooked. The general tso chicken tasted like orange chicken. I was disappointed and my stomach hurt.

The food was SO good and fresh I didn’t even get a picture. The wonton soup was delicious, yummy broth and wontons. We also had the chicken steamed dumplings, and shared the stir fried noodles. After ordering, I got jealous of the entrees I saw coming out! We’ll have to go back to try more off the menu! Fantastic place.
