I ran snack dab into the owner of this amazing BBQ spot on the west side of AVL today. What great BBQ and an even greater man! Friendly, welcoming and great lunch conversation had today with a side of perfectly smoked BBQ pork👌This spot is where America comes together…at a picnic table!

Two wild hog sandwiches was 21$ and change. She tried to charge me 31! When I asked, 31$ for two sandwiches and no side or drinks? She said yep. I asked again, are you sure? She said, Oh If I must have entered the wrong thing. That I can overlook but, the dry bbq was most certainly not a 10$ sandwich. Lesson learned.

Paid $15 for 2 small pulled pork sandwiches. Sandwich dry .bare minimum sauce .meat dry. Couldn't even tell there was cole slaw on it. Will not go back!

Shorties has been a favorite of our family since it’s opening. The folks that work there do a great job. Food is very consistent. Very convenient and good barbecue. I highly recommend the chicken wing dinner, the ribs and the chicken and rice bowl.

First time here, and one of the servers was kinda arguing with his wife, which made looking at the menu awkward. The lady at the window was nice. I got a brisket sandwich with a side of okra. The brisket was overcooked, and the okra was undercooked. The food wasn't terrible, but the overall experience was weird. As I was leaving, the same guy was meeting a guy on the side of the building. Just shady.

Big party, with complicated orders were handled quickly and with patience! Excellent BBQ pork, brisket and chicken. The pork bites bowl was a big hit! Thank you for making our meal so special.
We had an all around great experience! We had 9 guests and they handled our order perfectly, while we navigated the menu as first-timers and simultaneously managing the drive-thru orders. The food was 10/10 and the owner was so personable and generous! We ate onsite because we were passing through and the picnic tables were perfect even on a hot day.

Delicious BBQ. I had the Brisket Bully - a brisket sandwich with slaw, fried onion rings and Provolone cheese. It was yummy. Hubs had the pulled pork sammie also excellent. The house cut fries were well worth it. Arnold Palmers to drink. The owner was very friendly. Service was quick. Kitchen is super clean. Highly recommend it.
