I lived very close to this place for years but only went twice. The first experience was about a 2 star as the meat was dry and not tasty and I felt like it was overpriced (circa 2022). Then a month ago I went on a random weekday for happy hour specials and the mini nachos option and a marg redeemed this place. It was exactly what I wanted.
The service was great—super friendly, attentive, and even brought our pooch some water. The location in West AVL is also great and the outside seating was nice on a warm evening. The main downside was the food wasn’t so great. Chips and meals were over salted. The veggie quesadilla was so generous with cheese that the beans, corn, peppers and seasoning in it were not even noticeable. Left me with a stomach ache, even though I love cheese. We stopped in for lunch today. The food was excellent absolutely fresh ingredients served beautifully. The location is prime and there’s tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The have happy hour every evening with free chips and salsa. Definitely worth your time!!
