I ordered a mushrooms Swiss gluten sandwich, and the fries with it , sandwich was great , but the fries taste and looked like $#@ i spent about 50.00 on this ?seriously?

Ordered to go food and this is how the chicken sandwich, that I was really looking forward to, arrived. Very disappointing that a restaurant would be happy sending food out that way. $17 sandwich in the trash.

So glad we stopped in here for dinner. The ambiance is unique and colorful, and our server was exceptionably friendly. The burger I had was great, and the French toast dessert was AMAZING.

One of my favorite Asheville restaurants. Pierogi's just like in PA. Fried deviled eggs, excellent burgers and chicken sandwiches. Drinks are great!
It feels more like a bar than a restaurant to me. There's nothing wrong with that. We had come for a birthday dinner celebration and were hoping for a nice meal.

Such a cool spot! Been here just a few times, but every time it doesn’t disappoint! It’s definitely a vibe, dimmed lights, various music, and surprisingly phenomenal food!Let’s just say Erin runs this place! She was wonderful, wasn’t annoying, yet knew exactly when to come up and not make us wait! Over all very satisfied , and would recommend! And they are open super late, if you’re wanting a late snack or drink!!

It's a weird spot for a great little bar. You're not sure whether you want to go in at first, but go for it, the stamp is friendly and food and service is terrific. We had awesome wings and a chicken sandwich and the beers were fairly priced with good variety.
Vegan friendly menu, but above all - the service was exceptionally excellent and the entire atmosphere of the place (including the regular patronage) is very neighborly and inviting. If you're looking for a hole in the wall that makes you feel like you're a part of the Asheville community, go to this wonderful place.

We've been patrons of The Barrelhouse for over 2 years now--we LOVE Brandon and Erin is THE BEST server! Will say that we aren't fans of the new menu and downright hate that they got rid of fan favorites like The Carolina Burger & The Ricky Bobby; understand more so about the rogies getting nixed because those are so very time-consuming to prepare. Wish they'd bring back The Carolina Burger and The Ricky Bobby--if not on the everyday menu, as a special one day of the week...we would totally be there on that day if they did! And I'm sure others would do the same for the rogies. Still love The Barrelhouse but it's not the same when you can't get your faves.

**AVL needs more late night dives that serve food late - so SHOUT OUT to BARRELHOUSE for staying open late- I'm sure the nighttime service workers really appreciate you & so does the community.Thanks!OK, so...there is absolutely no decor - I mean nothing, so set your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. But the staff is friendly and kind, the beer is decent, and it's cheap. There are food and beer specials every night. The food is not wonderful, but there aren't many places that will make you a steak at 1:00 am!
