One of the best authentic German restaurants we have found! A true hidden gem!

Nice place to try something different. We shared several side dishes all very tasty. It would be nice to have German music playing at dinner time.

It’s 6:50PM on a Saturday. The posted hours are until 9:00pm. We asked for a table and they told us the kitchen is closed. I asked why and they said the owner is 70yrs old, and he is setting his own hours.In response to the business’s reply... we were told that the kitchen was closed at 6:50, not that they were at capacity nor that we needed a reservation.

Saurgraten wasnt to my liking. Vienna salad was yummy. I also got a apple strudel. It was pretty good. Service was great! Very friendly and helpful. Next time i go for Getman food though ill try another place. If i can find one.

My husband and I came here over the weekend for my birthday. We love German cuisine, and have traveled to Switzerland near the border to Germany and had authentic German food. This food brought me back to Switzerland! The potato pancakes are AMAZING!The staff was so nice. We actually sat and talked to one of the owners for several hours.We will be back :)

Had an excellent meal with these fine folks tonight. Service was over the top and the food quality was paramount. Unfortunately they will be closing the first of next year. So, come by if you can and celebrate with these fantastic people.

Both my parents were German. My mother Bavarian. They died 50 years ago and the rolladen brought back memories. Kartoffel (potato) salad. Simple but authentic Unfortunately restaurant is closing for good in December.

Great food and atmosphere. Server was very knowledgeable and helpful. The decor is worth the visit. We will be back soon.

Best german food i have had. The sauces make the dishes and wow are they incredible. I have been to quite a few german restaurants in four different states and i have to say this is my new favorite. Also the staff are super friendly and helpful.

I like this restaurant a lot. It has a very special spirit. The meals are good. the service is efficient and the crew is courteous. The price is reasonable. deeply recommend.

Wonderful decor and food. If you are visiting Asheville take a trip to this restaurant. Schnitzel was fantastic!

This place has the coolest ambiance of any restaurant I have ever been in--rustic log cabin with decoration from a 50's Bavarian hunting lodge. This place is like a blast to the past--20-50's music, classical, and suddenly Freddie Mercury for some reason! It feels like an episode of Twin Peaks!The food is awesome--especially the gravy they put on everything. Waiters are friendly and have pizazz. There's a very weird energy to the place--in a good way. Beer is excellent too and compliments the heavy food. I can't imagine a more comfortable place to eat. So cozy--I can only imagine it in the winter times!A real, unique dining experience you can't find elsewhere these days!

No experience here... Stopped in on Sunday, September 6, 2020, the day before Labor Day? and waited for staff, finally indicated a table-but it needed to be wiped down. Heard it needed to be wiped down five times. Also heard they we trying to call someone in to work. Then we saw no one... So, after twenty minutes we left. Response to Mgmt: Not open? Someone had the open sign on, greeted us at door, advised us where to sit and provided menu's. There was a group by the bar and another outside...
