Closed but the Thr Getaway next door is awesome
I was fortunate enough to visit this establishment years ago, it definitely wasn’t updated as it had old picnic tables and seating. Meaning, it was all natural. We sat on huge boulders with a large pit fire going…. during the fall season it was cold but, not cold enough to keep you indoors. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with fire acrobatics performing amazing fire dances. I can’t express myself enough, it was one of the most wonderful times I had while visiting this amazing place called Asheville NC. I’ll most definitely be returning for another visit in the near future…….
Closed ... the getaway next door isa diamond in the ruff ,you can sit by the river an have a cold drink
It's permanently closed. You're asking for a review of a place because I pulled into their parking lot to take a phone call. They are closed and the place is for sale. It used to be a great bar and awesome place to take-out the canoe from the river.
So sorry to see them go out of business! Will be missed!!
Some of my best memories in Asheville over the years happened here. Sad to see it changing forms, but happy for the owner finding a new vision. It is no longer a bar, no longer a place for family and friends to gather in the evenings. Instead, according to the owner, it will become a beautiful space for weddings and events, no more than 100 bookings per year. Definitely consider this location for your next wedding, swanky shindig, or other important gathering
Great place to chill along the river , always the best place spot to end a day of kayaking with great beer, good people and food.
This is a great venue to have your favorite beverage with friends and listen to music!
Great music, but people really come here for the location, location, location. Directly on the beautiful French Broad river, this joint is delightful and fun! Treat yourself and your friends to beers and such on the river!
I loved sitting by the fire. Sorry to see it is no longer a bar.

Sadly, I hear this place is closing. Best "dive" bar I've ever been in. And I mean that in the nicest way.
Great service and atmosphere. Their warm whiskey concoction was fantastic as well.
Really cute, great atmosphere. Good draft list and great seasonal drinks. A little on the pricey side for an Asheville bar but not too bad at all. Lots of space and seating.
Good hangin' .. pretty good drinks
Very cool place for a great Asheville vibe. Been back more than once on visits to Asheville
