I specifically sought this restaurant after Reading reviews and description. Staff clueless, food tasteless. Falafel like fried balls of paste, then the girl drowned them in sauce and made them soggy. Good sweet potato fries and I will say the vegetable choices looked fresh. But I wanted falafel with some tasty topping /sauce, so. I threw their food away (except for fries) and used the fork for the food I got from next door. Wont be returning to this place.

I just had the Beef and Lamb wrap with spicy Mayo and hummus and it was amazing. Very filling and stuffed with meat. Will come back for more.

Awesomely fresh and great everytime! So glad they are on DoorDash! Delicious food! I love their falafel wrap and spring mix salad. They are in the asheville mall, which I very infrequently go. But definitely a great delivered meal!

I have walked past this place a few times and after realizing they sold Döners I HAD to try them. I am German born and raised and growing up in Germany I've eaten A LOT of Döners, it's the first thing I go out for when I go home to visit since it's my absolute favorite food. I went here because the reviews online were so good so I was confident I finally found a place in Asheville that served a good Döner, but, I was wrong. First off there was no Tzaziky sauce, they did have a selection of dressings to choose from but ZERO tzaziky. I went for a different cucumber dill sauce I thought might be similar but it just didn't satisfy me the way tzaziky sauce does when combined with a Döner or Gyros, mit the end of the world though because I still had this huge sandwich to bite into. To start off the bread was very good and the veggies were crisp and fresh BUT the lamb/beef rotisserie meat was lacking. For starters the amount of meat in the bread vs the vegetables was just sad and it was underwhelming to say the least. The meat was bland, lacked seasoning and was DRY which is really what makes a good Döner, the meat! I also good a side order of Falafels but they were 3 tiny little balls, which for the price I guess was okay but they were dry and needed more flavor as well. I can deal with little falafels if they're flavorful but they just weren't. Overall I'm disappointed in this place and the reviews were misleading. I think if they were to properly season their meat and not sell dried out food they would be better, but you can't have high expectations for mall food in a food court. My search for a GOOD Döner continues!

I went for lunch one day and had the lamb & beef dürüm wrap with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, & garlic sauce & a side of fries. The price was reasonable and the food was great. The wrap was bigger than what I expected.

The best Turkish food in town. The focus on quality over cost. Sometimes you have that craving and Donor is a great place to add to the rotation.

We had a "family" reunion with a bunch of us who used to be stationed in Germany and couldn't believe we found an actual Doner place in the states!!! We ate here and will definitely be back every time we pass through! We even went back to order food to take home for later. Even the owner took the time to talk with us for a while, super great people, all food made in house, and it's just like you'd get back in Germany!

We had doner kebab in Germany and read a recommendation for this place in the mall. (Okay, side note: I just read a bad Yelp review about this place and the reviewer said they were looking for Greek/Mediterranean food and were disappointed because they wanted a Greek restaurant with music and a full menu. Don't give a place a bad review because YOU messed up and wanted something completely different. Doner is NOT a gyro.) Back to my review. On a Saturday night, the food court was busy enough but not overly crowded. Unfortunately, they had just run out of the doner kebab beef and lamb rotisserie meat so I had chicken in flatbread instead. The staff was pleasant and apologetic. My wife got a lentil soup and some hummus and chips. It was quite filling and we even took some of it back to our hotel. Our food was tasty and inexpensive. Maybe one day we'll get there early enough before they sell out of the beef and lamb rotisserie meat.

I love this place! I go to the mall solely to eat their food, and they have beer! My only qualm is I wish they had more sustainable to-go packaging and didn't use styrofoam cups.

After visiting Germany a few years ago and falling in love with döner, I try to visit any restaurant I see that serves it. This is one of the best I’ve had in the USA. Definitely a hidden gem for a mall food court.

LEGIT! Best Vegan Falafel in Asheville. The Turkish bread instead of a pita was a bit of a shock the first time but since then I have been hooked. Easy to order ahead and follow Covid guidelines.

The Doner is one of my favorite restaurants in Asheville, hands down. I bring people here from out of town (they’re always confused when I tell them in it’s a food court ). The staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh - I’ve never had a bad experience!

I penciled in this place on a trip to Asheville with low expectations. Doner kabobs are a staple of German late night food. They're everywhere there like Starbucks are here. Located in the Asheville Mall food court I initially visited on a Tuesday but they were closed. I came the next day and ordered a doner box. The meat was seasoned nicely, the spicy sauce tasted right, and the fries were amazing. It was a great meal and didn't cost a lot. Would definitely visit again.

I visited the Food Court location 9/19/20 at 1:30The food was very good. I liked the design of the menu. The prices were reasonable. Just over eight dollars for one person. The wait was horrible. Three in line in front of me and a 20 minute wait to order.Loved the large cup size. Needed more sturdy forks. I could not break into the falafel without it folding up.If the wait was reasonable and I didn't have to find a decent fork to use, I would give The Döner five stars.
