From a friend who lives in Asheville. This is written a few days after the devastating hurricane: The Grove Park Inn is really stepping up their game. 🙄 Friends that live nearby said they were walking their dogs the day after the hurricane and GPI was evicting guests. Later that day they saw them mowing rhe golf course. Now they are forcibly removing people who are trying to steal a bucket of water out of their pool. Someone needs to flush their toilet and GPI yells Get off My Lawn! What horrible neighbors.

We try to come for a visit to the Grove Park and Sunset Terrace any time we're in Asheville (if we're not already staying at the resort), because it is just a beautiful area. The ambience can't be beat- half the time I just sit there staring out over the subterranean spa mesmerized by the landscaping and the beautiful blue ridge of mountains in the distance. It's that good. Service was great- thank you, Erin. My husband had the chocolate raspberry martini and the BLT (the fried green kind) and loved it. Fries are super yummy btw. I had the Caesar salad with an espresso martini and shared in his BLT. No disappointments here.

Sunset Terrace at Grove Park Inn was wonderful! Everything about it was such a positive experience! The view was breathtaking, the service was incredible and the food and drinks were delicious! We will definitely be back!:

From beginning to end we had a wonderful experience. Erin was attentive, knowledgeable about wine selection and one of the best wait staff we've ever had! Even with the clouds and rain we had a great time. Food was amazing. Would go back again if in the area.

Outstanding food, reasonably priced, with a wonderful view. My only complaint is that complementary parking is only one hour when two hours is needed for a non-rushed lunch or dinner. Parking is $12 after the first hour.

Disappointed. Been going for 30 years since honeymoon. Always been 5stars. Slow getting to table for drink orders. Got 1/4 drinks orders wrong and took 20 minutes to get replacement. App was cold, Hot Pastrami sandwich was pitiful. Few pieces of meat with pimento cheese on white bread. Hope they get it together soon.

We loved this view ! The hotel is beautiful and this view on the terrace is exceptional. Kim was our server. She was delightful and helpful in recommending some wonderful dishes. The sea bass 5 star. The steaks perfect. The Brussels sprouts didn't disappoint. We are going back with friends in two days just because of 5 star service food and views.

The hostess was very accommodating of our request and we greatly appreciated it. Our waitress, Heather, was outstanding and a lot of fun helping us to celebrate both of our birthdays and the food (gnocchi) was exceptional! We love to spend a little time walking around the beautiful resort before or after dinner or enjoy a cocktail.

The view was extraordinary, the service was impeccable, and the food was exquisite! A true 5-star dining experience from top to bottom, worth the special trip for my wife's birthday.

My wife and I celebrate our five year anniversary here the food was great. She had the Chilean Seabass. I had the salmon. Our waiter David was attentive. We received complimentary champagne and desert. Very memorable experience.

Brian was one of the most outstanding servers we've ever had! The food was absolutely amazing and we were blessed to see one of the most beautiful sunsets overlooking the mountains! I will definitely be back every time I visit Asheville!

Shrimp, crab cake, filet, sea bass, NY Strip, Brussels Sprouts, truffle fries, macaroni, peach trifle & Nutella peanut butter bar were our dining party's foods on this amazing night of overindulgence but we walked (waddled?) away with zero regrets. Everything surpassed our expectations even though we've dined here in previous trips to GPI. Our server Sarah was fabulous as well.

We had a great evening at Sunset Terrace during our September visit to Grove Park Inn. With a view from the terrace their wasn't much room to steal the show, but I will say our server Cody was helpful, informative, on top of every aspect of the meal...from start to finish...and even entertaining without being overbearing (perfectly balanced). The food was delicious, from the Wedge Salad, to the Salmon entree, and Strawberry Crème Brûlée for dessert. Portions were large enough that we shared, since we had enjoyed charcuterie and wine at Biltmore Wine Bar before check-in. Very memorable meal at Grove Park Inn...thanks to a great venue and exceptional server! Thanks for getting us a spot through Open Table, and for a perfect experience.

It was nice except for the part where our waitress forgot the salad and seemed overly tired. Our food was excellent and the view did not disappoint. Please light both fireplaces inside

The view was absolutely beautiful, it was my mom mine and my mom's first time ever going to the mountains so see that view was breathtaking. The food on the other hand was somewhat disappointing for the price. I would love to come back here for the drinks and the view!
