What a great intimate space for hearing and seeing bands - inside and out! Can't wait to go again. Love the causal vibe. Don't go changing! Tacos are very delicious too!

Came in for the first time for lunch and will not be back. The food was mediocre- the chips were pretty good- but the service was just plain awful. We felt like an inconvenience to the man running the register. Not great to have that kind of service when there are so many excellent food options in this area.

New owner thinks she is the s**** F****** pretentious people! Give them a title and they start thinking they are Holier-Than-Thou. Typical Asheville "high school" behavior. I won't support those kind of people/ businesses. No more shows at the Grey Eagle for me. It's too bad, I met her years ago when she worked downtown and was cool. Now she owns a business and is a B/ not cool. What a joke! Don't support pretentious Asheville businesses! Trust me they are everywhere!

I have eaten here numerous times, more out of convenience, as I live nearby. As of late, inconstancy has made ordering food a game of roulette. It has become hard to take this operation as a serious food venue as opposed to slinging whatever for those who show up for shows.

Warning to open mic performers: In Feb 2022 they started charging $15 to play. They don't make this obvious in promotions. Hence, a huge waste of time and quite dishonest (so very un-Asheville).

We went to the Grey Eagle for lunch and it absolutely did not disappoint. The brisket and chorizo were on point and they make their own tortilla chips. Equipped with great local beers and a full bar, this place can't be missed.

I was super disappointed when I ventured out to my first indoor show last night at the Grey Eagle. The band was amazing, and the venue cool, but after asking to see proof of vaccination or negative test, the safety stops there. There was one fellow next to us, with no mask anywhere on him, holding an empty beer can all through the show. He got hostile when we suggested wearing one (I'm drinking!) Another woman in the front row, without a drink, didn't wear one the whole show. We went to the front desk, and the person informed us that they "can't do anything at a seated show". So they will not walk down the aisles every so often to do a check, or talk to the people who aren't wearing one. Last time there for me :(

Came here for a little social distancing show, ended up going back for their frozen slushy margaritas. The price is a little steep but holy me oh my, those things are tasty. So tasty we may have had a leeeettle too much fun. Lucky it was a small show with plenty of room between tables to social distance with just your pod. Needing something to soak up our drinks, we ordered a round of nachos and those were equally satisfying. We opted for chicken? Maybe it was pork? Not sure but it was good and didn't hang around very long. Seems like they have a pretty good line up for outdoor shows, the crowd seemed happy to participate is COVID recommendations, hopefully the show can go on!

Amazing venue. Great vibes and atmosphere. Loved the patio- so quaint and intimate for a show. We saw the Pink Beds who were awesome!! All the staff was very nice and helpful. I posted pictures on my social media and everyone from home was asking where this place was and wishing there was something like this by us! We had a wonderful night at this fantastic music venue!

I'm navigating a new and very difficult food allergy to black pepper, and left the Hot Springs location with the first real meal I've been able to eat out! They worked with me to develop an option with ingredients that didn't have pepper, were patient with my questions on a busy Saturday, and came up with a delicious nacho platter that was excellent! After disappointing struggles with other local restaurants in the Asheville area, this was my first positive experience with this new allergy and I can't thank them enough!

Stopped into the Canton, NC location for a quick lunch. Food was outstanding! Service was equally as great! Nothing says fall like a fresh bowl of hot chili. Paired with a chicken & sweet potato taco and you have the makings for one hell of a fantastic lunch. 12/10 would recommend to anyone!

I was happy to see all of the vegan options since it's hard to come by. We got nachos with lentil chorizo and added guacamole. The whole thing lacked much flavor and just tasted like canned black beans. Even the guacamole just tasted like mashed avocado. Expensive meal for what you get. The outdoor patio was nice and unique. The cocktails were yummy. I'm sure it's a great place to drink cocktails and listen to music, just wouldn't order food again.

I'm so glad I landed in The grey eagle during my short retreat in Asheville. They have exactly what I wanted; great tacos and beer in a very laid back atmosphere. The tacos are made exactly how I like them, with onions, cilantro and lime; excellent. But the truly distinctive characteristic of the place is the hospitality of the crew. I'm not the most friendly guy but they treated my like I was their brother. They even gave me free food.I'll definitely come back to The grey eagle. It may even be the reason why I come to Asheville next.

Holy Taqueria!!!!! We have now ordered our Taco Tuesday Feast 4 or 5 times since the Covid and it is the hightlight for the week! So freakin delicious! We have now gotten the chicken, the carnitas and the Asada----We are not sure which is our favorite- all amazing. And the Flambre Salad!!!!! Forget about it. Just get it!!! The whole family loves it and it is a kale salad that will knock your socks off! Eat well, Support Local, Take a night off of cooking. Win- Win- Win!!!!!!!!!
