One of my favorite haunts ❤️ there’s always a friendly face and an amazing drink waiting at the bottom of the steps. Sometimes fun snacks too. . As a small fem person, I also appreciate how safe I feel coming here alone. No one bothers me so I can even journal here. The bartenders are very attentive to any troublesome situations. 10/10 ✨

Delightful cocktails, perfect week-night date spot if a one-on-one game night is your speed.

This place is ok but really kind of seems like it's trying too hard. Very odd drink menu, like every drink has 8 ingredients and one that just wrecks it. Very slow service likely due to the complicated drinks. Needs some tweaking on a decent idea.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem after dinner. Pleasantly surprised by the unique, fun atmosphere, cozy seating, and great selection of drinks. The bartenders were incredibly personable and attentive. Highly recommend!

The Low Down is an absolute gem and my new favorite bar in Asheville. The space itself is simply stunning. The dark wood and low light create the perfect atmosphere for the thoughtfully designed and crafted wood pieces, creating a truly unique bar experience. Knowing that this bar is from the owner of The Crow and the Quill, I knew the drinks would be great, and they did not disappoint. From their menu, “The Land of Salt and Honey” was easily the most interesting, delicious, and well-balanced cocktail I’ve had in quite some time. While I was there, bartenders Casey and Leigh, were working on a tahini based cocktail to play off of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and I can’t wait to try it. I could not recommend loud enough a trip to the Low Down, it is such a solid addition for Asheville locals and tourists alike.

Had a fantastic time at this speakeasy reminiscent bar. Staff was wonderful and they are more than just bartenders, they are mixologist. Thank you to Cole and the owner Casey for a wonderful night. We are sure to make this bar a regular stop.

While this bar has significant potential with its stunning ambiance and exceptional drinks, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the choice of music. The constant stream of poorly selected indie tracks created an unpleasant atmosphere that detracted from what could have been a truly enjoyable visit. It’s disappointing that such a well-designed space was undermined by a playlist that felt more like a deterrent than a complement to the environment. With better music choices, this bar could truly shine.
