Excellent place for a drink in West Asheville. The atmosphere is fabulous; you walk down the steps, and it gets darker and quieter until you emerge into a subterranean cocoon of coolness and cocktails. The disconnect from the outside is unique, as most other bars have windows, outside noise, and natural light—all reminding you where you are, what the weather is, and what time of day it is. One of my favorite haunts ❤️ there’s always a friendly face and an amazing drink waiting at the bottom of the steps. Sometimes fun snacks too. . As a small fem person, I also appreciate how safe I feel coming here alone. No one bothers me so I can even journal here. The bartenders are very attentive to any troublesome situations. 10/10 ✨
