One of the very best meals of my life. Every bite was filled with so much flavor! A few of our absolute favorites: fermented kohlrabi, cowboy candy,London Fog cashews, wood grilled steak, the Raspberry Beret non-alcoholic cocktail, and Thai tea sorbet. My husband cannot have gluten and the staff was very understanding and accommodating. We had a great experience here and would love to come back next time we are in town!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options are labeled clearly on the menu. Staff can also make small modifications for some dishes to accommodate.

Tried their pork schnitzel, or should I say deep fried pork chop. The breaded crust was almost black, therefore it overpower the meat. Sadly the schnitzel meat was pink at the bone.Wife had a pasta meal that was tasty. Not worth the price.

Not sure what the deal is, but for the price the food was very mediocre. One of us had a hot dish served cold and 2 other meals were very bland and uninteresting. I’ve lived in Asheville for 25 years, and this place used to be much better. Not sure what happened. Service was great and above most service in Asheville.

Ambiance very good. Service, our waiter exceptional! Food, meh. Overpriced, steak was a piece of tough, DRY overcooked, tasteless chuck. Butternut squash, underwhelming, unevenly cooked veggie. Definitely not somewhere worth returning. I must say the special App, oysters Rockefeller exceptional! Drinks, ridiculously overpriced. You can get a NA club soda with splash of juice for 8.00. Asheville has many restaurants that are exceptional and well worth the high prices. This place unfortunately isn't one of them.

A very nice restaurant. Went with a small group of coworkers on a weeknight. Plenty of beverages to choose from. Menu seems to change up. Something for everyone. In our group, just salads (market), steaks and Papardelle noodles with lamb (my dish -- excellent). Service was excellent. Prices are in the $60 per person with beverages. Recommended.

Decided to make a reservation here due to the James Beard award and was super, super disappointed. The food was average at best. The best part was the cheese plate— honestly much prefer Cucina24 next door.

We enjoyed our dinner. It was a relaxing evening. The server William did a great job. We opted to go. Vegetarian had the pickled vegetables, potato soup, bread, and a wonderful salad. We liked that a lot of the items were locally sourced

It was good. Nobody at our table was gushing with compliments but also no one complained. The charcuterie board was really good. But honestly Foresty camp has a better Smashburger. I liked our waitress a lot

We had not been to this restaurant, although we come into Asheville fairly regularly. The food was really well done. The steak was perfectly prepared, the mussels were melt in your mouth good, truffle fries were loved by our teens, and the tagliatelle was fresh and excellent. No complaints and we will be back.

We are foodies! We love good food, flavorful food, and food that is unique. We decided to try this restaurant. We had the cheese plate, Brussels sprouts, fish special, 2 pasta dishes, and the steak. If you like steak, this is the place for you. If you don't, this restaurant is lovely. Nice staff, atmosphere, and decent food. However it was quite expensive for what we got. I wouldn't be opposed to going back, but the food didn't compel me to rush back.

The Market Place popped up on our radar thanks to their James Beard nomination. Despite being the end of the evening, during Asheville's off season, it's clear to see their nomination was well-deserved.Francisco, our server, was engaging, knowledgeable, and offered a fantastic wine pairing for our meal. Not pictured, because we ate it all, were our main courses that offered plenty of flavor and texture. With a menu that rotates with the seasons, we will be sure to return the next time we are in town.Dietary restrictions: Select items clearly marked as vegan, gluten free, and dairy free.
