Excellent atmosphere- friendly Delicious food Cookies pastries bread Coffee & Latte I tried a honey cinnamon maple latte
The Rhu is a cozy cafe with very friendly staff and great local food. There is additional seating upstairs (in response to an earlier review which cited limited seating). The Rhu offers both breakfast and lunch items though we've only been for lunch. Both the turkey and roast beef sandwiches are quite delicious with fresh ingredients. I prefer the Rhubarb Deluxe Salad with chicken but the Kale Salad is also quite tasty. The deserts are really great - all made in-house - with salted chocolate chip cookies, croissant and brownies, among others. There is a decent selection of take-away items including pimento cheese, jams and juices.
Cute place and friendly staff but quite over priced. The homemade fig newtons and oatmeal were delicious but not made of gold as all our breakfast prices reflected. This spot has very limited seating and the parking nearby is scarce.
Run out of biscuits on a weekend by 1pm when that is over half of your menu loses business.
I ordered the quiche and salad to go. The lettuce was rotten. And not just a little. The person who made it MUST have known. Yuck. I used to love this place. It’s not the same anymore. Their heyday is over.
You never know what time this place will open. Sometimes there open and their sign says closed,Sometimes their closed and sign says open .I've waited over and over and 8:30 comes and goes and their not open. Employees walking around looking at you ,but they still don't open. It's a mystery to me !!

My wife was mad at me, so naturally, I took her to this cafe. One bite of their chocolate croissant, and she completely forgot we were even fighting. I’m convinced it saved our marriage. Now, every time we’re in Asheville, we come here—just in case! Best (and tastiest) marriage counseling ever! 10/10 would recommend.

As a French person it is rare to find a croissant and pastries that can bring me back to France. We tried the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant and both were incredible. We also had very good coffees. I recommend and will come back on my next trip to

I’ve many times over the years and the coffee is always on point and the breakfast sandwich is so delicious. Love the space and convenient if you’re downtown.

My fiancé and I came here for breakfast, specifically the gluten free breakfast. I had a gluten free biscuit which was the best one I’ve had. Not dry or crumbly like most gluten free bread products. I also had to try the gluten free raspberry and rhubarb pop tart which was absolutely delicious. Even my fiancé, who doesn’t eat gluten free, said it was good and couldn’t tell it was gluten free. Highly recommend for anyone, especially those with dietary restrictions. I also appreciated how they didn’t up charge me for the gluten free biscuit (which would usually be a $3-4 up charge anywhere else!). The staff were friendly, plenty of seating options, and everything tastes fresh!

One of the best coffee shops I’ve been to not just in Asheville, but ever! The food is great whether you are looking for a hearty southern style breakfast or a sweet berry pastry. Coffee is great and the vibes are between a 10 and a 11.

Super cool shop with great pastries. Stopped for a late morning coffee and chocolate croissant. Both were amazing! Artfully presented cortado. Geat place to study or work with a large second floor.

We saw this store the night before and came back to this sister restaurant which was in the old location of the French Broad Chocolates store. We dined upstairs and experienced great biscuits, Benton ham and collards. The delicious breakfast came fast and done right.
