From a friend who lives in Asheville. This is written a few days after the devastating hurricane: The Grove Park Inn is really stepping up their game. 🙄 Friends that live nearby said they were walking their dogs the day after the hurricane and GPI was evicting guests. Later that day they saw them mowing rhe golf course. Now they are forcibly removing people who are trying to steal a bucket of water out of their pool. Someone needs to flush their toilet and GPI yells Get off My Lawn! What horrible neighbors.

The worse customer service and booking policy.

Just had wine at the bar, great selection, generous pours and friendly staff

So serving someone a cup of kimchi, a cup of raw purple cabbage, and three tempeh slices isn't a "bowl." There's like, 50 calories in that. How is it a lunch. How is it the #1 listed lunch

This company discriminated against me for having a service dog. It was a terrible and embarrassing experience. I tried reporting it but they didn't care. I never even got a phone call back even though I called half a dozen times to report it. The hotel manager never called back. Neither did their escalations department that deals with complaints. They don't care about customers complaints. This company will treat you like c*** and smile while doing it. And there's nothing you can do about it.. Don't waste your time going here.

The food was simple but good. Strangely, the hotel forced us to pay for parking even though we were just having breakfast. The extra $35 for parking doubled the cost of breakfast. It was not close to worth that. Seems like a terrible plan if they want people to use the restaurants

John F has single handedly saved my first experience at the GPI. My 2 kids and I have traveled across country from Wisconsin to Chapel Hill after packing up my childhood home for a month after my parents passed away. I was exhausted after a 9 hour drive to Asheville and decided to book a room here as a special treat. When we arrived it rained and despite accepting the pouring rain we didn't get any sympathy or help except for John who listened to me rant and bought me a glass of wine. Bottom Line - Thank You John

One night at Grove Park Inn... Short two hour drive from Charlotte to recharge at thiss iconic resort. Familiar face of the valets as you enter down the long driveway to this landmark property circa 1913. We returned to a fantastic room on the concierge floor, stunning views, immpecable service and standout food and beverage options in the evening and morning. I would be remissed to not mention the hospitality by our concierge Mark and Ophelia, always at the ready with a smile and a genuine interest in making your stay that much more enjoyable. From a surprise early check to another blissful spa experience to another fond farewell (For now) from Jack the bellman.

I would absolutely not go here unless you want to be completely disappointed! They charge way too much to not have access to a $2000 room. My card would not open up the room and I had to go down three times to get it changed out definitely not the experience if I want to spend $2000 on a room and over $1500 at the spa. My last time coming here been coming here over 10 years they would not make it right all they did it send me a letter saying I’m not allowed on the property ever again!!!! don’t worry my review will be everywhere. Have a great and wonderful day.

Absolutely stunning hotel with incredible history. Although the room is dated, it is of a certain period and quite charming. The views from the back of the hotel are stunning and sweeping of the mountains. Service was incredible. Note: having a car is suggested as it is a short drive into downtown Asheville.

The resort has all of the amenities that would be expected at an upscale resort. It fits perfectly with the mountain vistas - understated yet grand. You could easily spent your entire vacation at the resort. Because there is so much to see and do in the area, my only regret is that I did not book an additional day just to enjoy the resort. The staff are warm and welcoming. There are various dining options available that served quality food which included local favorites - no bland hotel food. The common areas were bright open and spacious with mountains throughout - felt like you were trekking through the mountains as you roamed the property. There are a variety of shops which have your traditional gift shop wares but also feature products from local vendors and artisans. Make sure that you check out the Grove Park Village which is on property - combination of stores which features unit handcrafted items from local and artisan from around the world. I found my room spacious and comfortable with all of the modern amenities but with a rustic mountain theme.

This is an amazing resort with incredible scenery. They are pet friendly. They have a great gym. The reception area has fire places and live music. Sit on the porch with a drink and watch the sun set over the NC mountains. Dont go to Asheville. It is a dump!

Just spent the weekend at the GP. There are things about this property that were amazing. The views were incredible, and the golf course was a lot of fun. However, this hotel needs a large cash infusion, and the rooms need significant upgrade. Some of the staff were great, others were not. They need some Ritz Carlton service lessons. Finally, this is very expensive. For the amount of money it costs to stay here I would expect must nicer experience all around.

Michelle gave the best pedicure I’ve ever had! She’s an asset for sure! She definitely added to our spa experience this trip which is always top notch. All other aspects of the stay have been great as well. You can’t beat the service and the view!

Day trip to eat at the Terrace restaurant. We have been to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The views are incredible and the food is awesome. Open table will never give you a seat so call in and do not let a lazy operator point you back to the internet and insist on talking to the restaurant to get a reservation.
