This bar consistently has the best drinks in Asheville. High quality ingredients, many made in house. Very inventive and interesting drink menu. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. This is my go to bar in Asheville when I want a high quality, tasty drink.

This bar is a bit different from the rise of a bunch of new roof top bars. It has a more load-back vibe. Bartenders were very friendly and take pride in the quality they provided. Nice inside area with a smaller patio that gets quite warm in the day.

Wonderful cocktails and atmosphere. Stop in, see Asheville from the roof top and experience your favorite new cocktail.
We love the Top of the Monk. The cocktails are always perfect. Nice little spot for a couple drinks. They have a great old fashioned. I had the whiskey flight. Love the spot.

This is a decent place and if you're a bourbon or whiskey drinker this is the place for you. Top shelf stuff.

Great little craft cocktail bar with a few snacks to go with. They didn't have it on the menu, but their bartender made me the best classic 1944 Mai Tai I've ever had. Definitely recommend for small parties or a date night stop.
Delicious drinks. Rude bartender. Male bartender with the brown hair on 9/19/24 at 6:30pm was rude when I asked a question about how to order (we sat outside and no one greeted us or explained to us if we wait on them to or go to the bar). So when I asked he was cold and rude in response. Overall meh experience. Great cocktails. But the atmosphere was not it

Went on a Monday evening. Up the stairs into a quaint bar. "Mondays with Rob." Rob, the bartender, was fantastic, with great recommendations and spirits knowledge.
I got a rickey with strawberry and basil and my friend got the sunset as our 1st round. They were both great, complex but with complimentary flavors. Sat outside for a bit then went back to order our 2nd round, the philly punch bowl and the southern charm. Also great Cocktails. Good flowing conversation from the bartender Rob and the other patrons inside, and it was a great experience. We will be back again!
Wheelchair accessibility: None. Flight of stairs to get to the top.

Snotty, unfriendly bar staff. Waitress took my drink away without asking if I had finished, which I hadn't. Way too expensive for what you get.

Recently I had the pleasure to visit Top of the Monk twice last week, while in Asheville. It is truly my favorite spot in all of Asheville for a thirsty traveler. I rarely visit a bar where if ask the bartender to make me something and surprise me. I do that with confidence as I have never been disappointed with any aspect of my visits to Top of the Monk!
Blake knows my palate and always makes me pleased I chose to come by for a cocktail.
My favorite is the Brooklyn Cocktail!
I have never left unhappy!
