I placed an online order at 2:08. I went in at 2:14 and my smoothie was ready. It said everything would be ready at 2:18, so I wasn't worried. By 2:30, I had watched 6-7 people come in, order, and get their food. So I asked an employee where my food was. She said she would make it and then disappeared into the back. Another 10 minutes later another employee asked me what I ordered and it finally got made. It took a total of 25 minutes for me to get my whole order while several other customers were in and out with their orders. I chose tropical smoothie because it is quick, but it turned out not to be quick at all.

I usually go here. Today i went there and it said open, lights were on, but both doors were locked. No staff inside that i can see. The employees are usually very nice. But that is just absolutely frustrating to drive there not be able to get what i went for.

Felt bad for the 2 employees working. They were so behind because they were so short handed. My cranberry truffle smoothie was good. My chipotle chicken flatbread wasn't nearly as good as they are in Florida. The chicken quality was low. Like processed chicken vs chicken breast meat. I wouldn't recommend it and I will only buy smoothies from there in the future.

Seeing a lot of bad reviews on here. The place is under new management now. And as a current employee, I can say our manager is working really hard to make it a better place. We take care making smoothies correctly and being extra kind to the customers we serve. Give TSC Asheville another chance y’all!! This work environment has evolved and become more healthy.

I would like to give this more stars as I do enjoy when it’s served correctly. I eat here a couple times a week and it seems recently there is a 50/50 chance the smoothie is terribly blended….so chunky with ice you can’t even drink it

I ordered two smoothies online, drove to the cafe and had to wait 31 minutes after arriving. At 31 minutes I asked for the second time of I should go to another shop while they worked through the orders and was told "no it will only be another 10 minutes" again. I was alone in the store by now and was ready to cancel the order until he realized he had already made it and put it in the window.After I spoke to a young man (the mustache like a pirate) about the wait and misplaced order I was told "it wasn't my fault, I just got here".A complete lack of customer care or service.

The staff maybe wasn't as attentive as they could have been, considering the place was completely empty, but they were friendly the food was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken chipotle wrap and berry bliss smoothie.

This is the worst Tropical smoothie I have ever been to and judging by the reviews a lot of other people agree. Placed my order at 5:45 at 6:47 an hour later I leave the store and that's not bc I sat in there to enjoy my smoothie. Ordered 2 sunrise sunsets . The 2 guys making them seemed so confused then one says they are out of pineapple do I want another fruit no big deal I pick another one another 10 or so minutes went by still no smoothie. He pours them into the cups leaves them there and walks to the back. Like 2 minutes later he comes out I say can I have my smoothies that are just sitting there? Take them to the car they look so thick not like they normally do so me and my mom taste them . Taste like pure water. Take them back in for a refund . The man in front of me also wants a refund BC the guy sneezed in his smoothie. 3 employees are in this place no manager apparently employees can't do refunds so they get the manager on the phone she says she will take our names and number down and refund us tomorrow. Nope i don't think so you will refund me now . The girl working there has major attitude. I can't help you guys don't know how to make smoothies . So finely the manager says give her 20 minutes she's coming up there. Fine no problem I will wait already been here 30 minutes at that point. As I am waiting they are still taking orders and not telling people they are out of pineapple. They are not even asking them if they want anything different guess they picked for them. The manager gets there and she doesn't know how to do a refund says she has never done one before. So after an hour of being there got my refund. What should of happened is she should of told her employees over the phone to open the register and give me my money back and that she would figure out the rest tomorrow. Ridiculous I had to wait that long for my money back. She's texting with the owner and says she will give me his email. Really MR owner you can't do better and say take her number down and you will give me a call? I guess it's easier for you to deal with people that way so you actually don't have to talk to them . Go to Smoothie King instead.

I don’t normally ever post reviews. But after this terrible experience, I felt I had to post.My brother and I walked in and ordered. The girl who took our order got distracted and completely was ignoring me and then said “can I get a name?” And I wasn’t even done ordering my food.I then noticed the gentleman who was making my chicken bacon ranch sandwich putting lettuce & tomatoes on my wrap. I simply said that I asked for no tomatoes or lettuce and I wanted to let him know before giving it to me so he didn’t have to remake it. I was being super nice about it. He handed me my bag and it had no salsa with the quesadillas, neither of my two sides for my entrees and the quesadilla was burnt to a crisp. At this point I just wanted my chips so I could leave.And this is where my experience couldn’t have gotten worse. I had this women from the back come out from the back and very rudely say “is there a problem here?” And I explained that I was just waiting for my chips. And this is when she got a huge attitude with me and said I was making the gentleman uncomfortable and obviously there’s a problem here.I was appalled. I even said I didn’t mean to be rude by any means to the gentleman.But I hope this wasn’t a manager because not only was she disgustingly rude but she didn’t even apologize for my order being completely messed up!!I am a server and I have been for 6 years so I understand customer service and this is not how to talk to people.I am so disgusted by this experience.I normally love going to tropical smoothie but I won’t be back. If you plan to go to this tropical smoothie just know you’re going to be talking to rude people who mess up your order.

My smoothie was not blended enough. It was so chunky. There shouldn’t be chunks of spinach, banana, ginger, etc coming up through the straw.

Came in at 6:20 on September 16th and looked at the menu for a little bit. No one greeted me or said a word to me. Then when I came up to the register to order, the gentleman told me "we are not making food today" no explanation as to why, no signage in the windows stating this or anything. Really weird experience and I will not be back

Don't know if there was a change in management or what, but this Tropical Smoothie has seriously gone downhill in last year or so. Went in around 7 PM and saw several employees just milling around with music blaring over top the music on the restaurant speakers, restaurant was dirty. The girl behind the counter was incredibly rude. She begrudgingly took the order, then another employee walked up and said we're not serving food, that's why I put up the sign. I'm not going to be here late. He points at a handwritten sign at the register that says No Food, Smoothies Only. It was 7 PM...restaurant hours state open until 9 PM. Unbelievable.I love Tropical Smoothie, so decided to give it another try. Went in...same bad attitude from the person at the register, restaurant dirty and again music blaring. Only one other customer is there. Order food, sit there for 30 minutes waiting while employees are messing with each other and dancing around in the back. There was music coming over the restaurant speakers and their music blaring on top of that. Incredibly unprofessional. Food was meh. That was it for me...will not be back and hoping another location opens in Asheville as is my fav!

Let me start by saying, I absolutely LOVE Tropical Smoothie, the food is great and so are the smoothies. But my husband, daughter and I Came here at 1:30P on a Wednesday, it wasn’t dead but definitely after the lunch rush. The lady who took our order acted like she had no idea what I was talking about when I ordered a Jetty Junior smoothie for my 3 year old. I repeated it at least 5 times, said “the one on the kids menu” and still watched her proceed to charge me for a full size smoothie. When I asked her if it was the 12 oz because the menu said $3.79 and the screen said $4.79, she said nothing and just stared at me. I didn’t feel like causing a scene over $1 so I just said “ok” and continued my order. When her smoothie came it was full size just as I expected. All good, but it just got worse from there. It took another 10-15 minutes for our food to come- I ordered a chicken bacon ranch flatbread with no tomatoes and my husband ordered a chipotle chicken club flatbread with no tomatoes. We received two flatbreads both with chicken, cheese, ranch, and lettuce. My chicken bacon ranch flatbread had no bacon and I don’t even know what they attempted to give my husband. When we took them back up they said they were out of bacon (would’ve been nice to know when I ordered). My husband asked for the correct thing to be made for him and they asked again what he ordered and what he was given. He said he didn’t know what he was given and showed it to them. He repeated his order and they said they’d make a new one. We waited probably another 8 minutes for the new one and it came with tomatoes on it. At this point we were all so hungry we just decided to cut our losses and eat what we were given. We received little to no apology, no offer for a refund, no coupon for a future visit, nothing. Then, when I took my 3 year old daughter to the bathroom it was completely out of toilet paper and I had to use a paper towel to wipe her. I am very disheartened by this experience as this is one of my family’s favorite lunch spots, but I’m not sure we will be back until I know something has changed with the service.

Walked in around 5 pm, before we even got greeted, the lady behind the counter started telling me about some emergency and how they needed more people there to make a smoothie, I’m not sure what the hell she was even talking about, but clearly they didn’t want us there. If you don’t wanna do your job, just shut the doors and close the place down cause that’s pathetic as hell. Will absolutely not go back.Edit: came back to edit this review and just let people know, since these employees did not seem Interested in serving anyone a smoothie, I went down to smoothie king which is less than a mile away and had a very pleasant experience there
