So glad sweet potato pancakes are back on menu! They are as delicious as I remember from a few years ago! Worth the 1300 calories!! Server was great & service was fast & efficient.

Well we went later on a Sunday. Not many people there which makes sense. Oddly there must have been some sort of fire truck drill because there were several fire engines that went by blaring their horns over and over. Also loud barking dogs on the patio. The food was fine, nothing spectacular. Would not return even if I lived nearby.

my family and I have been eating here since the very beginning. We've never had a bad meal or experience. Fried green tomatoes, chicken, and waffles, all of it. Superlative.

Great fried green tomatoes and fried chicken. Best goat cheese grits around. A great tradition in Asheville.

I had the smothered chicken and biscuits. I did not like how the biscuit had been broken up into pieces before being covered in gravy. I much prefer the biscuits to just be cut in half. The chicken was good. My girlfriend got the mountain morning bowl and was disappointed. The entire dish was cold. Cold grits, cold sauce and a cold fried egg. The potatoes were the only thing hot. Service was good so no complaint there. Probably won't go back.

The quality of the food was just ok. Our server DeShaun, was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgeable and swift.

We sat in the “over flow” so that’s the only reason for the 4/5 starts on atmosphere.

Our group visited Tupelo Honey during restaurant week and tried the fried chicken, shrimp and grits, banana pudding, and Mississippi mud pie. While the food was good—not excellent, but enjoyable—the overall experience left us underwhelmed.

Service was extremely slow; it took twenty minutes just to receive our drinks and another 45 minutes for the biscuits, which we were surprised to learn were an upcharge. There was also some initial confusion about the restaurant week pricing for a solo diner in our group, though it was eventually resolved.

Our waitress was very kind and accommodating, but the kitchen’s slow pace and overall service efficiency need improvement. Given the reputation of Tupelo Honey, we expected a bit more from the experience.

Food was tasty, but service was exceptionally slow. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, but just like every other place, it seemed she could have used some help. She did the best she could.

I had the mac n cheese chicken & waffles. My husband had the salmon. My food was delicious. He said the salmon lacked a bit of flavor, but the sauce with it was very tasty. The mimosa flights were very tasty, too. Overall, it was a nice night out, and we'd definitely dine here again. Oh, and sign up for their mailing list to get a free glass!

Parking: They're is no parking lot. We had to park on the street around the corner. The walk was about 3-5 minutes from our car. It's paid parking at the meter during the day. It was free for us after business hours.

Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome, but it is more of an adult atmosphere.

Intense flavors. Potatoes with a little more pinch of salt and pepper than usual. Excellent tortilla soup.

This place isn’t ideal for vegetarians. Although the menu showed some vegetarian options when we checked beforehand, none were available when we visited. We went during Thanksgiving break, so perhaps they were short-staffed, but the service was lacking as well. The highlight of the visit for me was the banana pudding—it was my saving grace!

Vegetarian options: There were few vegetarian appetizers.

We visit Asheville once a year and frequently go to Tupelo Honey . This year when we went we were pretty disappointed with the quality of the food . they were out of numerous items. Food came out slow , soup was cold and chicken was overcooked and dry. Really like the southern but will think twice about going again.

Very good, unique food, perhaps a bit difficult to choose if one has digestive issues, servers are excellent at helping out with that, consulting chef if needed!🤗

Ty was a wonderful server and did his best to accommodate both our needs AND wants in spite of the supply constraint caused by the after effects of hurricane Helene. The food was nothing short of divine and used seasonal ingredients to male the best out of every dining experience. I've never had the same thing twice because there are too many good options.
