I ordered the Japanese ramen noodle soup. Upon receiving it, it was in fact not ramen but pasta spaghetti noodles in a light broth with a few pieces of beef and some red onions and cilantro.
After I sampled it, I refused the order and left.
You guys need to train your kitchen staff.

I was in the area shopping so I stopped in for a late lunch. It was a Saturday at 1:30 and there were.only three people seated and a few take out orders being picked up. The people were very friendly and the server excellent. I thought there would be more Pho and ramen options. The menu had lots of sushi choices. I got a Dragon Ball with crab as a starter which was excellent. I loved the avocado and the crunchiness of it. The ramen bowl with shrimp was next. It came piping hot. At first I thought the broth was a little underwhelming and lacked flavor. It may have been due to the temperature. As it cooled I enjoyed it more and more. The shrimp seemed very flavorful and fresh. I took half home for leftovers. I will visit again when I’m in the area. Overall a great experience.

We stopped here passing through Asheville. My wife loved the udon noodles and I had the chicken with vegetables. It was outstanding. The staff were so kind and the restaurant and bathrooms were as clean as can be. Wonderful experience!

We ordered two times dinner maki as an online takeout order, which both should have included salad and miso soup. Salad and soup were missing for both. When we called and complained, the person said they would call us back. They never did. Included in the cost was a 20% tip. It was not optional, it was fixed as well as a $1 convenience fee. Tips should be optional. The maki rolls were good. But we also had sashimi and one slice had bones. All bones should have been removed. Very disappointed.

SO happy this place has reopened since Helene 🙌🏻 We have missed it greatly over the past year. Ate here tonight, and nothing has changed. Still my absolute favorite sushi in all of Asheville! I got a spider roll and salmon roll, my boyfriend got the rainbow roll and dragon roll, and we shared some spring rolls. Can’t wait to eat here on the regular again 😊

Udon is open again - Same location as before Helene but with the decor and ambiance all fresh and new. Everything tastes just as good as it looks and everyone there is just as nice as ever. Had a marvelous lunch today including noodles, maki, hibachi and special roll selections and they were all delicious and moderately priced - and at the special Grand Re-Opening discount of 20% (good to 9/9) even more so!
