We was celebrating the 60th birthday of my wife, it was the perfect place to celebrate. A fantastic view on the blue ridge mountains with a gorgeous sunset, and that was just the start. The service was amazing I wish I remembered the name of our waitress she was great, great sense of humor, very professional but not to formal just perfect. And now the food was delicious everything we took was with a beautiful presentation the right amount of portions the disposition on the plates was very well done, the smells was just completing the savors to complete a parfait meal! Thank you to the chef for the quality of the ingredients and the combination of each dishes! Highly recommended! We enjoyed from when we stepped in until the end of our evening. Thank you!
This was my second time eating at the Vue and I was so excited to bring my friend who had never eaten there before. Our table was lovely, but 2 of the 3 entrees that we had ordered were not good. I asked for my filet to be medium-well — one piece came out great, but the other was medium rare at best (I only ate half of the $72 entree.) One of my two friends ordered the Bouillabaisse and said the lobsters and prawns were inedible (she ate less than half of her $80 entree). I was sad because I had raved about this place and then we were left disappointed.
Our waitress was amazing!!! Exceptional service from start to finish. When we requested cappuccinos and the machine was unavailable, our waitress took it upon herself to retrieve cappuccinos from another restaurant across the hotel. Truly first-class hospitality and attention to detail.
The restaurant is nicely appointed. We chose the caviar started, while presented nicely the flavor of the caviar was lost in the actual dish. My partner ordered the Elk, beautifully plated but not that well spiced. I had the Waygu beef cheeks, they were soaked in demi glaze which was overpowering and made the entire dish salty. The service is excellent, drinks creative and wine delicious. Dessert was well presented, and was very good. Overall 3-4 stars.
We stayed at the resort to celebrate my husband's birthday. The location was convenient to our room. The food, drinks, and service were all wonderful.
The food was so disappointing and very expensive. Duck was served with no sauce or anything. The Elk was over seasoned and $80 was also ridiculous. The side are non existent.

I rarely write reviews, but this meal was too disappointing to not.
I’m genuinely surprised by this restaurant’s rating. It presents itself as upscale dining, but nothing about the experience lived up to that. None of the food was terrible, but nothing was enjoyable either. At this price point in Asheville, you can find far better meals for far less. Normally, we give feedback when a dish misses the mark, but it didn’t feel like it would matter here. With most guests staying at the hotel and the strong online reviews, the restaurant likely has little incentive to improve.
I’m generally easy to satisfy, but expectation, price, and execution matter. This meal fell far short. This is what we ordered:
Squash salad: The squash itself was fine, but the dish lacked balance and nuance. The creme fraiche overwhelmed the natural sweetness, while the mint and syrup were undetectable. Presentation tried to mimic fine dining but came across as amateur. Flavors never came together.
Mushroom arancini: The crunch and salt level were good, texturally fine, but the dish lacked depth. Almost no mushroom flavor beyond a faint hint of what I think was truffle oil, and it felt like something that could have been cooked from frozen rather than fresh.
Elk chop: A bit tough and underseasoned. The potato was crisp on the outside, but dry and bland, lacking salt. The demi-glace was overly sweet and one-dimensional, and the cardamom streusel felt more like a gimmick than a complement. For comparison, we recently had elk at Herons in Cary, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and well-seasoned. That dish was $72, and this one was $80.
Wagyu beef cheek: The only dish that approached a redeeming quality. The meat was tender, with good salt balance and a genuine beefy flavor. Unfortunately, the whipped potatoes were bland, and the crisp topping literally tasted like paper. Overall, it was the best thing we ate, but still far from a memorable dish.
The service, like the food, did not match expectations. Had this been a diner meal, it would have been fine. Our waitress was pleasant but offered little guidance. When my wife asked about wine, she only shared personal preferences with no description. Nothing was wrong, but it was not what you expect for a $300 meal.
Finally, I almost always order dessert when dining out; I literally can’t remember the last time I didn’t. This time, we didn’t even consider it. That alone sums up how disappointing the experience was.

We were underwhelmed by our experience at Vue 1913. We have loved our stay at the Omni Grove Park Inn (for our anniversary and engagement celebration), but the service and food were lacking.
We enjoyed dinner here a few days after our wedding and we felt so celebrated. We had a fantastic server and great wine recommendation. Our food was delicious and we timed dinner with the sunset perfectly (definitely recommend doing this). We had the lamb and filet and it was perfect!

We absolutely loved Vue 1913. The atmosphere was elegant, the service was attentive, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The table got the elk, steak, and lamp chomps. All were incredible. From start to finish the experience was outstanding. Can't wait to go back.

Amazing service for a great birthday dinner! My daughter wanted a raspberry chocolate martini for dessert, although it wasn't on the menu. The bartender made the best one either one of us had ever tasted, including a decorative chocolate drip on the inside of the glass. Amazing!! Table service from Kim was excellent, and the entire staff was very attentive.
Incredible views of the golf course to the mountains, and even downtown Asheville to the left, and the sunset was gorgeous! What a beautiful backdrop to this intimate yet friendly restaurant. Our waiter, Michael, was so courteous and friendly -- not constantly hovering, but there when we needed him. He offered some spot-on recommendations for wine and dinner, and just made our evening out that much more special. The caesar salad foam dressing is the best I've had, and I would also highly recommend the Halibut. Beautiful presentation of a most delectable dish. Be prepared to enjoy yourself more than you might expect.
I have dined at Vue 1913 several times and have never been disappointed. But this visit was particularly outstanding. First, our server Mallory was probably the best I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. She was perfect on every level. But here's what made this evening particularly special. Several weeks in advance of my visit to the Omni Grove Park Inn and Spa I made a request for a particular dish that I had enjoyed previously at the Vue 1913 but it was not on the menu at this time. I was told my request had been forwarded to the chef yet he never received it. However, our server Mallory took a shot and asked him if he would prepare it for us. I knew it would be a longshot but it was worth asking. And much to my delight he agreed. Chef Brian not only prepared it perfectly, he and several other servers graciously served it to us in grand style at our table. And I've been told that serving guests at their table is not something Chef Brian ever does. He was an absolute delight and we very much enjoyed chatting with him. I could go on and on about how enjoyable our experience was but I think you get the idea. I highly recommend dining at the Vue 1913 at the Omni Grove Park Inn and Spa.
We had a great dinner Saturday night at 1913. The food was really good and our server, Karen, was awesome!
