I ate there a couple of days ago and one lady was scraping all the dirty crumbs and stuff off the front of the grill. They took the front piece off and she was scraping all of it that was in there. She then proceeded to put that spatula back on the grill and the cook was cooking my food with it! THATS SO DISGUSTING! I will not be going back ever!

A long hiker with a service dog newly arrived in Asheville to volunteer in Hurricane clean up, my experience in this horrible restaurant was unprecedented in my experience. Entering, I explained that mine was a service dog and sat down. A manager immediately came over and violated the ADA by asking for paperwork. I politely replied that, while I had it and would show him, the law allows him two questions; Is that a service dog? What service does it provide? I then showed a card with registration that I got from the dog trainer in Nevada. Another guy approached a moment later and told me that they could not allow my backpack in the restaurant and suggested that I leave it outside. I replied that I understood that he'd just stated the unfortunate policy to keep the homeless from frequenting the place but I am a long trail hiker who had just arrived from Michigan to volunteer in Hurricane clean up. He told me that I'd need to put my backpack, not an obstruction as I had it with me in the back corner booth, outside while I had breakfast. I crossed the street where I was welcomed and enjoyed a big $18 McDonald's breakfast with smiles from all of the staff. This Waffle House does not support Hurricane Helen volunteers, is unfriendly to long trail hikers despite proximity to the A.T. and apparently discriminates against our homeless even when they are cash customers. Join me in my boycott of this evil place.

We stopped into Waffle House on our way out of town. Everyone was waiting patiently to be seated or order take out. During a time where we had no water, electricity or communication seeing their smiles and quick service allowed for us to have a nice meal. Nina was kind, positive and made sure we had everything we could possible need. Her nephew was hard at work making the hash browns. It made our day and we will always remember this.

Not that busy ,so I asked for a special request ,6 poached eggs ,runny center ,the server ,an actual cook ,did an amazing job. I've told ,in various locations, they don't do poached eggs ,but this beautiful black woman ,did her thing.

Went late/early and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. How can you lose with scattered hash browns after a night of entertainment? Looking forward to my next late night/early morning meal!

Staff was friendly. The grill man cooked our steaks to perfection! The waffle was so fluffy. Not our normal waffle house, we usually hit tunnel road, but this one was nice and quiet.
