The food was disappointing. The hummus tasted like chickpea mush. I think it was missing tahini; unacceptable to advertise as hummus. The fried pickles were heavily breaded, and just “meh”. The fries were pretty good. The Reuben was very mediocre. The service was relatively attentive, but not particularly warm. This is a good bar for heavy drinkers.

Went there for dinner and could not be more disappointed. Wife got a salad and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the chicken sandwich and fries. The fries were soggy and the chicken sandwich the absolute worst I’ve ever had in my life. The piece of chicken was ridiculously thin. It was obvious they took one chicken breast and sliced it into thirds or maybe even fourths and used one for my sandwich. It was unbelievable. Will never be back.

I'm a social worker local to asheville and I went in today with a couple clients for lunch. They each ordered a side of sweet potato fries and one was charged for a half order [$6] while another was charged for an appetizer order [$10]. Neither the menu nor the server made it clear to these people, who are disabled and do not have disposable income, that they would be paying over ten dollars for a side of fries. When asked about it the server got impatient and offered to pay the ten dollar tab, which was weird and uncomfortable for us. No manager came to fix the problem and my clients had to pay the full tab which the server refused to correct. I'm disappointed and my clients are upset. Westville doesn't seem to care about customer service. They could have easily offered to take the 4 dollars off the bill for her fries. I know it doesn't seem like a lot but folks on a fixed income need to watch every penny and it shouldn't fall on them when a menu was so unclear and the service so unhelpful.

Literally best joint ever if you want to be local or not and feel welcomed as you are. Ask for EDDIE!Sirracha wings were saucy and WET. Everything was made with a lil extra as a the south is. My friend ordered the BLT great dose of Aioli, with a side of sweet potato fries with a spice along side of sweet and savory of waffley goodness.Parking: Park I rear

By far my favorite establishment in west Asheville and quite frankly all of western North Carolina. I can not stress this enough, Erica and Marcos in particular are the best bar tenders I have ever had the the privilege of dealing with. Marcos has the swagger and demeanor to go toe to toe with the best of them. Also Erica is an absolute babe and such a pleasure to cut up with! Disregard the negative views and definitely go check out the pub!

Don't drink too much there or Erica will charge you for a drink and give it to a regular for twice the effect. I caught her twice within a week doing exactly what I just described. But one she made the mistake of thinking I was too drunk to realize what was going on and then giving the free drink to a friend of mine and trying to add it to my tab. So she could get the 20 to 25% tip from me but also getting the I hooked you up tip from my friend. And after I realized that I've caught her 2 more times. Again her name is Erica and she has black hair and talks with a lisp .

I wish I could give 0 stars. I caught a bartender trying to steal from me twice within a week there. Here name is Erica and she has black hair and talks with a strong lissssp. I was warned about her from a friend and then I caught exactly what she was doing. She was charging people who she thought were drunk for extra drinks and then giving them away to regulars for more tips. So she was running up my bill because most people pay 20 to 25% and then giving my alcohol to regulars for free. But with the feeling she was looking out for them so obviously they would pay more. I will never spend another cent in that place. It's not special at all but who needs to question if they're being stolen from while at some crappy pub in West Asheville.

Good food. Okay service. We had two different servers taking drink and food orders for a party of 7. Part of the group got their food in okay time, it was a solid 20 minutes before the other part of our group finally got our food. Server’s attitude kinda sucked, not gonna lie.

Great tasting food. Quick, efficient service. Fried pickles are extra good. Quintessential neighborhood pub. Black and blue burger was BIG and flavorful. Brisket French Dip was ok.

A quick beer and game a pool with random strangers. WVP used to be a regular venue that I'd go to solo or with friends for dancing and music.
