White Duck Taco Shop - Asheville, NC

Pretty good tacos, but probably not worth the wait we had. Nothing special about the tortillas. Tacos are from all different cuisines.

I sure hope Asheville recovers fully and they open back up! Every time I visited, I came here for lunch! I just got on to check and see if it was open again. 😔

Hurricane Helene destroyed the restaurant. Supposedly they're gonna reopen in a different location.
The food is simply phenomenal. Can't say enough good things. The "bad" is that it's normally crazy-busy but the friendly staff move the line somewhat quickly.

I miss this location so much. Always the best atmosphere, food, and people. Sometimes we do not thank folks until it's too late. Thank you to the staff of this location.

I was only there once, the weekend before the hurricane. Service is actually good, but you had to wait in line forever. Sadly, I think it was destroyed in the hurricane. Hope they come back.

Loved the White Duck Taco Shop. Some of the most unique tacos you'll find anywhere.
We were there one week before the flood... seriously hope they can get back up to speed quickly... the place is a hidden gem!

Loved how creative the menu was and wanted to try so many! My favorite was the Crispy Pork Belly. The elote side however, came cold which was unexpected and a little disappointing.

I love this place. I love the food they serve, the people that serve it, and the place it’s served in. My girlfriend and I have visited here before a concert in Asheville, and were very happy with our time. Despite long lines, the food is INCREDIBLE and the speed at which it’s produced is almost scary, but continually it impressed us.
The people working there are casual, friendly, and helpful. They could have casual joking, and made every interaction very positive.
This is a stellar example of a top-tier restaurant.

Vegetarian options: The banh mi tofu, black bean taco, and the Greek taco are all great finds

Fun and funky vibe. It was great sitting by the river on a hot day, and there's plenty of shade for the outside tables.

Great gluten-free options! The pork belly taco was my favorite, but the fish taco was also great.

Service was super friendly and attentive.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free items are clearly marked on the chalkboard menu, and jack fruit substitutions are available for vegetarians and vegans.
