We went here after traveling 10 hours. Walked in and waitress told us what they were out of. This was a Friday night about 6pm. Also couldn't provide cocktails that were requested. Wait time for food was excessive. Server did not check back very often to refill water, etc. Soup served with meal and was only warm. Server did ask Mgr to provide us free breakfast coupons.

Chef Joseph here. Wife and I stopped and ate at Woodfite grill in ashville, NC. Service was very slow, over 30 minutes to get our food. Waitress said they only have a cook working the kitchen. Then she told us that they only half of the menu was available. I had wings that were cooked just right. I also ordered the french onion soup which was missing the french flavor. Wife had artichoke dip which was great. This place bring in a Holiday Inn should make sure thier restaurant is top notch. They do not deserve a 4 star rating.

Great, private, quiet space with great food and caring staff. It's a hidden gem right here in plain sight. I'm trying to talk that internet beauty into dinner here!

Very nice staff. Food was average and pricey, but it is a hotel restaurant. It was February 15th and a somewhat limited menu. Wings and the burger were overdone, but they offered a redo or dessert. We were satisfied with the dessert.Nice bar, and we returned the following evening.

The cook is like 7 stories tall lol. My Frenchie walked right up to him. Dude saved my life he just doesn't know it. I wish they hadn't sold out to the chain hotel. Trash business decision.Vegetarian options: Amazing food selectionDietary restrictions: Great

Let me start off by saying that I picked this place for our Valentine dinner because we have had outstanding meals there several times over the past two years. This year was a disappointment. First off, I made reservations several days ago and got an email confirmation, but when we arrived, we had no reservation on the books. Fortunately they seated us. We ordered drinks and they were out of sweet tea. A cardinal sin for a restaurant in the south. We placed our food orders and after our salads were served, my wife was informed that they were out of the chicken she ordered. She changed her entre. When our meals arrived, she settled for soup and a salad, and I got a half rack of ribs. The ribs were tough, as I'm used to fall off the bone ribs. Needless to say, the meal was a disappointment. Our server did apologize for the meal and did give us a discount on the total meal. Service was good, but I'm not sure if I will give it another chance anytime soon. Just one more note, the Valentine special entries all included some type of seafood. Not everyone likes seafood, so we had to order off the regular dinner menu. Just another disappointment.

Mixed feelings.Food was good and atmosphere was fine for a hotel restaurant.Service was embarrassing. First, they were short staffed. We're typically forgiving of this in today's world. However, 6-7 tables shouldn't be too much for two wait staff. What really sank the ship was having to pick up our drinks from the bar after ordering from our table. Others were getting served beverages at their tables. We just happened to be seated near the bar and heard twice, "Here's your drink." As it was placed on the bar.Our waitress attempted to compensate/acknowledge the wait we endured, but a $1.90 discount on a $68 bill is more of an insult than a courtesy. And finally, we waited too long for the bill. And, then, after handing over our credit card, we waited, again, way too long for the slip to sign. Our tip would have doubled had the service been satisfactory.

Unfortunately, they really should not have opened because they only had two people trying to , one of them was the bar tender . You might have to wait over an hour to eat.

Food was good, but the restaurant was out of many items, especially considering they have such a small menu. They were out of havarti sticks, wings, trout, fruit, rice, and the honey butter for the rolls.I tried to make a reservation online for December 28, and OpenTable said there was no availability until February 5. We arrived at 5pm and were the only customers there besides a person sitting at the bar, until about 5:30. There was only one waitress on duty.I had the soup and salad meal. My husband had a steak that was cooked nicely. He was not asked what kind of salad he would like but was brought a Caesar salad.

We came down for breakfast after our night in the hotel. Hotel staff phenomenal. The lady hosting in the dining area that morning, was the only one and was less than phenomenal. It could have been because she was the only one and overworked. While we waited to be seated for 10 minutes, she passed by us three times without acknowledging us, or even saying she'll be just a minute. Since we knew it was just a holiday inn breakfast buffet, we set ourselves. When we took a seat she told us that spot was taken, and we should have wait to be seated. When we told her we did and she passed us a few times without acknowledging us, we decided to be self service. She said follow her, we did. She sat us in the back, (no big deal) and only came back to collect our vouchers. She didn't ask us if we wanted fresh coffee or juice, like she was the tables around us. We got our coffee from the hotel lobby and the chocolate milk I got was 2 days expired. But the food is what you'd expect from any hotel breakfast buffet. We got it cause it was free with our room, and it would be quick and easy.
