What an incredible date night at Zambra’s from the ambiance, to the service, to the amazing and full of flavor food I highly recommend! Also not to forget the extensive wine list that they have with lots of Spanish options was a huge bonus! Taylor our waitress was amazing at helping us make all our selections and to sweeten the night!

Total Win! We loved everything about Zambra. Sept. 3rd, our 30th Anny. night out, and instantly felt like we were a thousand miles away. From the decor, lighting, styling, layout, menu, bartender, execution to details and atmosphere is absolutely top tier fo us. And we are very picky. Great drinks, everything. Including the "Blue Velvet/Twin Peaks" vibes to get to the restroom. Already planning to return for more of the terrific food, drinks and vibes deluxe at Zambra! Tosha? out bartender (spelling maybe wrong) but she can make a great cocktail and does a great job in every way. Also quite cute!
We had Crab cake, and Frisee salad. Both excellent and bride's highlight of the evening out- still raving about it days later.

We a wonderful time at Zambra tonight. Tashi our waitstaff was especially fun. She helped us every step of the way
There were a fantastic set of tapas choices. My favorite was the lamb. We had probably 10 different ones so everyone in our group of five had a personal favorite. There was a Great list of wines so everyone should be able to pick a favorite wine as well.
Cheers and tanks again Tashi!!

Hadn't been to Zambra in a while, and we showed up to a packed house on a Saturday night with a party of 6, only to find out I had mistakenly booked us for the following night. But after we were told at reception that we were out of luck, host Rylan came over and after a few minutes figured out how to rejigger tables, and got us in. Whew. And as usual, we had wonderful small plates of food, good wine, and efficient service for a reasonable price.

I was pretty excited to try this place, but it wasn't as good as expected. When we first walked in we were asked if we had a reservation even though the place was basically empty at 6p. The food is great. We enjoyed each of the dishes but for the quantity they were expensive. We each ordered a cocktail. Both weren't very good and appeared they are trying too hard to have something different and it's not really working. The atmosphere is definitely intimate so it's not a place to really have fun or conversations with friends. The lighting is so low you will need your phone to read the menu. Remember that reservation they asked about well with the extremely slow service we were there till 8:30p and the entire time it wasn't more than 30% full. I liked the food and all but probably won't go back unless someone else I'm with wants to go.

My wife and I had never been to Asheville, NC, but heard the food scene was spectacular. We were not disappointed… Our Uber driver recommended a few places and Zambra was at the top of their list.

Talk about being spot on… we had one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. The menu was filled with something for everyone and we had a hard time narrowing down or selections because we wanted to try everything.

We grabbed the coveted “confessional” spot at the bar. It was a nice cozy place where a wonderful person named Lisa took care of us that evening. She was very friendly and helped us make our selections. Her service was impeccable and really completed our evening.

Here’s what we ordered complete with pictures:

Chilled Corn and Tarragon Soup. Crème Fraiche, Tarragon Oil and Lump Crab.

Pomegranate Braised Pork Spring Rolls.
Avocado, Cashew Chili Crisp, Mango Mojo.

Lamb Albondigas.
Tunisian Tomato Sauce, Chickpea and Cucumber Salad, Crumbled Feta, Pistachio.

Charred Cauliflower.
Spicy Romesco, Salsa Verde, Sunflower Seeds.

House Gnocchi → Basil, Arugula and Pine Nut Pesto, Sweet Potato, Radish, Capricorn De Cabra and Goat Cheese.

And for dessert:

Peanut Butter Brownie → Peanut Butter Mousse, Toasted Cashew, House Made Bourbon Ice Cream.

If we ever visit Asheville again, we would certainly visit this fantastic restaurant again. Thank you for making our trip very enjoyable!

Beautiful restaurant. Service was outstanding. The sangria we had was good - seemed a little pricey for the carafe. The food was all good, nothing blew us away of the dishes we tried, but all was well-prepared and presented. It was a fun place to eat while we were visiting Asheville. If you like tapas style, it is good place to go with really nice ambiance and attentive service.

Zambra is fantastic. I’ve heard it referred to as a “poor man’s Curate” but to be honest our meal was perfection and the ambience is so much more up our alley. The menu changes daily and it’s literally less than a minute walk from our place. Plus, because of the national acclaim, Curate is not always easy to get into and in my opinion comes across a little stuffy. None of that at Zambra…vibe is chill and plenty of seating so you can pretty much always walk right on in. Bartenders are knowledgeable and attentive as well…Patrick is friendly and on point. If you find yourself in Asheville, skip Curate and hit this place instead.

I’ve been wanting to go to Zambra for some time and was excited for tonight to finally be the night. Our party had great service and thoroughly enjoyed the food and beverage. What was really off though was the music being a total mismatch for the moody cellar like atmosphere of this restaurant. Pixies and Strokes playing while dining at a romantic Spanish themed tapas restaurant?? It totally changed the whole mood and we all had to try to talk over the strange soundtrack. I’ll try again once more down the line and hope that management pays better attention to all the layers of what creates great ambiance.
