My husband & I used to only go to Ichiban for their sushi before Hurricane Helene devastated our area. So, we decided to try Zen Sushi in hopes that it would be the equivalent—if not better. It was a little crowded for lunch on a Thursday, but there was enough room for a family of three to eat comfortably. I will say—I love the fact the owner kept the restaurant nice & cool during this humid June weather. Our server was very friendly and attentive too. We visited during their lunch hour (just 30 mins past opening), and each got the two roll special with the choice of miso soup or salad. Everything met our expectations, and we especially loved the eel avocado roll! Also, we appreciate the fact that Zen Sushi is affordable, & is a quality restaurant that doesn’t skimp on portions. I can’t wait to come back again soon for lunch!

I have done both dine-in and to-go at Zen and the food is always delicious. The staff are very nice, welcoming, and service is great. They are accommodating for little ones as well, which is certainly not required, but a huge plus for me.

A sushi 🍣 favorite in Asheville. The chefs are have different styles and fun decorations. Excellent, friendly service and a truly authentic experience through and through. There’s also an extensive vegetarian sushi menu as well as many specialty and unique rolls for fish lovers, too. 😋

My family and I frequent sushi restaurants regularly and we decided to try this one while in town for vacation. It is a small quaint restaurant but don't let that fool you! The service was amazing and the sushi was beautiful and fresh! I got the lunch bento with teriyaki steak and the flavors blew me away! Best teriyaki steak I'VE EVER HAD! This will definitely be a must on or list every time we are in Asheville!

We loved the unique and effing delicious special roll creations here. Diverse and killer, not to be missed. Cool vibe on the later weekend hours as well. Only downside was no seating at the sushi bar. But make no mistake, this place is so good. Accommodated our GF needs, too!
