The unexceptional sandwich took incredibly long to get to me. Throwback pop punk on the radio reminded me of a sandwich shop I went to in college, that place had some great sandwiches.

We stopped here for breakfast and got lunch to go before heading up to the Blue Ridge Mountains for the day. Our bagels (everything bagel with cream cheese and fresh veggies, and a blueberry bagel) were delicious. Our sandwiches were hearty, piled high, and well made (ham and cheese on sourdough, tempeh with roasted red peppers and spinach on whole wheat). There are plenty of options for vegetarians and meat lovers. The staff is accommodating and friendly. This is a quality local place for breakfast and lunch!

Amazing sandwiches! Cool owners and employees. Super casual and friendly. Best sammies in Avl as far as this chef is concerned! Keep it up Ziggsters!!!

Yesterday I got a Steak, Egg, and Cheese Sammy on an Everything Bagel… Today I woke up dreaming about it. Pure Excellence!

I’ve eaten here before and the food is fine. The service is where my disappointment lies. I was assured my bagel (with only cream cheese on it) would take under 5 minutes and 10 minutes at most. I watched as customers who ordered after me received their orders, and I was met with rudeness and annoyance from the staff when I inquired about my order. Twenty minutes later I left, late for my appointment, with no bagel in hand and no apologies. I’m looking forward to finding a bakery worth giving my money to.

After a chaotic year of staffing changes and inconsistency in operation schedule, we are opting to not return back to Ziggy's. During our most recent visit, we were treated poorly. The staff noted that a bagel and cream cheese order would take at most 15 minutes. When asked about the status of the order 22 minutes later, we were firmly and in a cold manner told to wait. This was representative of patronizing behavior. The gentleman at the counter provided the order 28 minutes later and did so with (what is interpreted as) a cold stare signaling "what are you going to do about it?" If customer satisfaction is important to Ziggy's, changes will need to be made. The market is competitive in Asheville for sandwich shops and treating customers as if they are "less then", especially when the customers are members of a visible minority, is flat out wrong. We wish Ziggy's well, but they will never see our business again (nor the business of our friends and families in the area).

I stop at Ziggy's for a sausage egg and cheese bagel at least once a week. It is always perfect, satisfying, and less than $7 (with TWO slices of cheese)! They have Natalie's OJ and a delicious cream soda that I am fond of, and their chocolate chip cookies are ???. They call many of their customers by name (myself included), there is local art on the walls (and prints for sale), and their lobby and bathrooms are always clean. I haven't tried their deli meats yet, but it's on my list!PS - Their sea salt bagels are amazing, and so are the onion bagels! Don't sleep on the RAMP CREAM CHEESE!

Just found this spot in South Asheville. Absolutely delicious meatball sub and Philly cheesesteak with wiz wit. Best I’ve ever eaten of either. Freshly baked bread for the sandwiches. All excellent. Only issues: the wait seemed a bit long and the space is small. We’ll definitely go back.

Had the roast beef sandwich. It was good but it said it had horseradish on it and I didn't taste any at all. Portion was good, probably will visit again

When we first moved to Asheville Ziggy was the first person to learn our names because we would come in almost every morning for bagels. They are hands down the best I have ever had. While we lived in South Asheville I would bring everyone who came to stay with us to Ziggys for breakfast and no matter what they ordered they always raved about how good it is. You can not go wrong here. I will also say, I have never reviewed anything. I was just looking for a new bagel place near my house and Ziggys popped up even though it is across the county and I wrote this because I honestly wish there was still a Ziggys near me.

Just crushed a philly cheese steak from this place. Amazing!

What a great little shop! I had the lox on a sesame bagel. They cure their own lox and the bagel was great!
