Full Moon Oyster Bar - Atlantic Beach

This is one of my fav places to visit when I come into town every couple of months. I was bummed when I saw a restaurant fee and 3.00 charge for a very small sour cream, and they didn't even bother to tell me it's a charge. They didn't charge me last year for it. That can take away from a waitresses tip because of all the charges put onto the bill. Remember to always ask someone if it's okay to charge for butter, sour cream, A1, or whatever it is you are charging people for that is normally free. Not cool. I could buy a whole thing of sour cream at Food Lion for 3 bucks or less. The food is good and the atmosphere. That just put a bad taste in my mouth and took the fun out of the visit. underhanded charges. Yall can do better than this. Please don't be that type of restaurant!

Was in town for a funeral and chose this restaurant to eat at afterward. Waitress was absolutely amazing and the rest of the staff! They made our night! We had a party of 6 and they didn't seem annoyed or anything. Food was super delicious and came out really quick. Will definitely come back next time we are in town!

10/10 recommend!! Got here right 4:30 and was sat and served immediately. The food was outstanding and the service was even better! Amber was amazing and gave so many great suggestions! I would definitely recommend the homemade key lime pie for dessert!

The food was absolutely delicious! They give you these amazing, free steamed potatoes with any order. Waitresses were super friendly, and the atmosphere was great! You can sit outside and watch the boats. Come check it out!!

We always thought this place was swankier than it is so we passed on it. Now that we've been, it's our kind of place. We just wish they opened earlier in the day, they're often not open when we would stop in for a drink and an app.

don’t advertise steak if you can’t even cook it right. i went with a larger group. i ordered a medium rare and it came out cold and heavy on the rare side, no medium to it. i cut up a couple pieces not realize how undercooked it was, it was slimy and cold. waitress took it back and said she’d get a new one properly cooked and sent out. by now everyone is almost done and i still haven’t eaten anything. my “steak” finally comes out and it’s the same one as before except this time it’s extremely burned and crispy. the small pieces i cut off from before were hard as rock and burned. it went from undercooked and slimy to overcooked and burned. my mother had the seafood risotto which is unbelievably tiny, it should’ve been an appetizer, not a main course. the bacon wrapped scallops were very “fishy” and slimy, not good at all. there’s no way i could ever recommend this place with how awful the food was.

Came to have dinner with my mother on 10/8/2024. My mother lives in NY and she had flown in to NC to visit me. We were both extremely disappointed in the quality of service and food. We had to ask two different workers that were not our server , in order to get drink refills. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Scallops and didn't end up receiving them until after we had gotten our main meals. My Filet Mignon was ordered to be MEDIUM RARE and came out as WELL DONE. I could barely even cut through it. I sent it back and waited an additional 20-25 minutes for my new Filet to come out and the new Filet was so salty I took one bite and immediately spit it back out. My mother ordered a MEDIUM RARE Ribeye and hers was also over cooked but she felt too bad to send it back. This was my mother's last night in NC and we were really hoping for a great dinner but I went home hungry. They took my Filet off our check and brought out a free dessert but at that point we just wanted to get out of there. We tipped 18% and still felt like that was too much. We will never be going back.

The bar drinks were good. The service was lackluster.
The food….. the oysters still had crabs in them and my husband is allergic to crabs. The oysters were very sandy.
His steak was ordered MR but came out very rare. He asked to have it cooked more but part of it was still rare. It was VERY fatty.
The clam linguine was saturated in butter.
The meal entirely was mediocre at best. We will definitely not come back.

Very welcoming staff, food is amazing. I got the seafood ricotta. It’s was fresh, creamy and flavorful. Their fresh oysters are very large and delicious as well. The kitchen and everything is very clean.

Nice place by the water. We have some oysters, scallops and 2 meals. Everything tasted very fresh. Expensive place though, our bill was over $200.
