Idle Hour Biergarten

Fun relaxed beach bar, not really German. We had jalapeno poppers, flounder and shrimp baskets & shrimp burger...all were really good. Selection of beers and a few wines, full bar, small indoor dining but large nice beer "beach" outside. Service was great. Tops of everything was onion strings... not rings...thin, perfectly fried onion pieces...wow! That could have been my whole dinner!!
PS- after eating a few other places, returned 2 more times, really enjoyed this place!

Just decided not to go here because of a local heckler hanging out on their deck. Disheartening that people treat out of towners so rudely.

This place has become a regular weekly eat. I typically get their BLT wrap, super simple but excellent. Their homemade herb ranch pairs nicely. My fiancé normally gets a burger and he says it's flavorful and juicy. Their pain killer with a floater on top is excellent. There is a nice selection of beer and wine. There is an outside and inside area. Inside is super small but we enjoy eating outside. It's located right on the beach so the outside is sand covered. Makes it an easy delicious spot to grab a bite to eat after a beach day.

Our trio thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Nice beer selection. Fried pickles were amazing. Our server was fantastic. We sat in the garden, relaxed & watched all the pups going by. Will be back for sure.

This place used to be great.

However, now the food is really mediocre & the service is practically non-existent.

My burger looked great, but it was bland & sat in my belly like rock for the rest of the day.

The carne asada tacos were also bland (bland tacos?! Thats almost sacrilegious), and the corn tortillas were raw, so they crumbled the moment they were bent and bit into.

We would have said something, but our server never came back to check on us after giving us the food. This shouldn't have been a surprise since it took 26 minutes to get our margaritas. I'm not exaggerating. The parking meter ap convienently kept track for us.

I'm only leaving this review to communicate with the owners/manager to let them know they have a problem because we won't be back.

Sweet little spot food and drinks. I love the setup and atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly and very attentive. The food is stereo typical of small beach bars. It wasn't bad at all, it just isn't anything to ride home about. Everything was fresh and on time, and like I said we enjoyed the atmosphere and having a couple of drinks.

Parking: Most places don't have their own parking lots here. There's a lot of paid lots and paid street spots. This isn't a very large place so they don't need much in the way of parking, but you may have to park due to availability of spaces. This town works hard with what they've got, and don't think of trying to get away without paying.
