Picked up lunch yesterday for my boss lady & I & it was so yummy! I had a shrimp burger that had bacon lettuce & tomato on a brioche bun. So very delicious & the fries were delicious too! I ate every bite! We will definitely be going back! 😊

First time taking our pup to a restaurant and had a great first experience with her. They even had 3 items for dogs on the menu! How cute! The food was delicious and the service was great too! Definitely will be back in the future!

Idle Hour Biergarten was a more relaxed spot when I went with my family of 6 during lunch time. There was music and even a TV playing animal videos, which kept the kids entertained during the long wait for food. I had a burger with fries and ranch — both were good. I’m a big pickle fan, so i was sadly disappointed by their handmade pickles. I ordered wings based on pictures I’d seen in other reviews, but they turned out to be tiny “lollipop” wings, which I’d never heard of, so we asked to send them back. It barely looked like they had meat on them. The waitress said she’d take them off the bill, but since the Wi-Fi was down, she just wrote our total on paper, so I’m hoping we weren’t charged. Outdoor seating is spacious, but it was way too hot that day, so we were glad to grab indoor seating right away before it got busier.

If you are looking for solid food, a beachy vibe, and cold drinks, this is the place for you.

You can get seafood one of three ways - fried, blackened, or sautéed. My mom said that it was the best shrimp burger that she has had in the OBX.

While service was a bit slow, and they were not very attentive (we would have had another round or two), we were able to enjoy Live music outside under the canopies.

Inside is no Bueno. While clean and well organized, if you have more than a couple tables around you, you can't talk to the person next to you without yelling. The acoustics were terrible. Go outside and grab a table! Some of them are large enough that you can sit with another group without feeling forced together.

Cool little joint. Inside is quaint. But the star here is the outside seating. Essentially tables, sometimes with shades, and you can see the ocean. It is sandy so take off your shoes and cave man it (usually wear flops and remove)! Occasionally has live music outside and they are cave man style too.

The selection is good and mostly from craft breweries. Well priced. The food I've tried is the pretzel (good) and onion strings (booya). Both reorders. Has tacos, burgers, salads, and some sides like German potato salad. These all are well priced and worth a look.

Like the chalkboard out front with witty things on it. Bartenders here are solid.

Only wish you were open later (hours). Should be noted that it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Seems a tad crowded on weekends so hit a weekday.

great options for food and drinks, alcoholic and N/A. i usually get a soft pretzel (amazing with the beer cheese) but got a burger which was good (love the shoestring fries). my girlfriend got a mahi basket that was over cooked, but the problem was remedied so all is well. we love the location of this place and the vibes are great, but what really brought me to leave a review was the service. tess was so great and you can tell she is hardworking! she was busy busy and handled it with such grace. the only time she stopped moving in the time we were there was chitchatting with us. super helpful, sweet, and personable. thank you tess!

Great shrimp tacos. Margaritas are perfect. Excellent fried pickles. Sitting outside with our feet in the sand was what we needed! Staff was attentive. We would absolutely go back!
