Sat there for 20 minutes with menus and a server never came to our table. We left.

This was our first visit and the staff were nice the waitress we had seemed a little stressed not sure if they were fully staffed or not.. We waited at our table for food well over an hour. Once we received our food, my potato just was warm, I had a hair in my slaw, and my Mahi Mahi was way overcooked. My husband ordered the snow crab pasta, and what little meat he had looked like it was dumped out of a can. I'm not trying to be a downer here, but for $120, this was not what we were expecting at all. Hoping the cook was having an off night.

The food is very yummy, but this Valentines day they only give us a the Valentines day menu which is 100$ for two.i hope you give us more options like the regular menu bcuz we saw others tables has the regular menu while on our time the only options they give us is the Valentines menu. Over all food is good we paid $119 for two is too much but its only for tonight is ok next time no more Valentines day dining for us..

Food was excellent! We had 2 steak dinners and a prime rib Philly. I have to say I believe the green beans were the absolute best have ever had, delicious! The bartender, Stacy made the best drinks. We had a MaiTai, Margarita and a Bloody Mary, all were excellent!. I did not get the waitress name. She did a great job! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I’m writing this review as I’m sitting at the table to warn anyone whom may want to visit this restaurant, NO. Sorry but the McDonald’s down the road would’ve been more filling and appetizing. As for the service the waitress was amazing did her job and the atmosphere is ok very open and quite loud definitely hear every conversation going on at the bar from across the restaurant. Local person writing review not a visitor. Downtown Morehead has better options. Or table nine!! Btw my bill was 157.78 for one entrees sub and kids meal

Everyone had a great meal. Burgers and crab legs. I had a conversation while ordering about being gluten free, having cross contamination not be a game changer in the same oil, and even switching to a gluten free bun, but got fried seafood while it wasn't clear on the menu that the fish was fried.
Seems like it would have been in the waitresses best interest if she didn't know the fish was fried to express that to the kitchen it was a GF order. She was very personable, and seemed like she'd been there for a while, so I was disappointed i couldn't eat being gluten free. Got a Crouton-Free salad, gluten-free bun on her suggestion with fried *breaded* mahi. Super bummer. And the pieces I pulled breading off were very dry. Great for leftovers for my kid. She did ask if she could replace it, but having a toddler and other kids, we couldn't wait for another meal to be cooked.
Give it a try, make sure if you want anything altered you have time to replace it bc it may not be cooked to your liking. (We were there at 5, so it wasn't busy)
And I'm local so I'm very accommodating being a waitress in this county for many years...

Went on 10/13 for my wife’s 21st birthday. Cannot remember our servers name but she was WONDERFUL. She was fun and really made it an experience. The fish tacos and boneless wings were excellent. We ate out a lot on our week vacation but On the Rocks stood out for the experience our server created and the food. Will definitely be back when we return.

First time visiting the area and 2 days into our trip, we have had nothing but mediocre food. We decided to try On The Rocks for our 3rd outing and so glad we did. Everything we got was phenomenal! Between our party of 3 we had the crab dip to start, Cajun chicken pasta, ABC pasta and the shrimp and grits with a side of fried scallops. Also the best sweet tea we've had so far! Our waitress could have been a little more attentive, but everything else was so good that we didn't even mind that part. We talked about stopping in again before we leave for lunch!

Lemon snapper was a touch dry but the taste was very good and so was the sauce. Garlic mashed potatoes and grilled brussel sprouts with bacon was also very good. Husband has the garlic Parmesan wings and burger which he enjoyed.
