The Bite at the Box

We walked in one morning for breakfast but it wasn't exactly what we were looking for so we left. Later that day we found ourselves at The Tackle Box and saw people bringing food in. We asked the bartender and she told us that we were to order from The Bite at the Box. The food was good but extremely expensive. My husband even asked for more fries. He said for $10 it ought to be a full basket of fries, not half. They did give him more fries. 👏 Later my son ordered onion rings and a sweet lady brought them over to us.

The food was way overpriced. A hamburger with chips was right at $13. Chips, not fries. To add a small fry was about $5. On top of that, the burgers were nothing special. You get a much better burger at any fast food restaurant. Not being from the area, I went off of other reviews. Huge mistake. I would never revisit.

It said there was shrimp po boy on the online menu and they didn't have it. The food and service were good, though

Got the BLT and fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was Very deeply fried. This restaurant is not handicap friendly. Luckily I had someone to help climb the stairs to get into the place. Staff was very friendly.

I ordered corn beef hash. This was not corn beef hash potatoes was raw with country ham and they just threw it together. waited 20 mins drove all the way back to see that. highly upset and don’t recommend for breakfast at all!

Also, when we first got there one of the cooks picked something up off the floor & NEVER changed her gloves. Then when asked to change them tried to argue when i watched her pick it up & go back to cooking.

As we was leaving another cook threw plastic silverware at my friend when he had his hand out.

Ordered lunch (take out) and the meal was so delicious and that we came back the next day and it was just as delicious! The staff is also friendly and welcoming!

My dinner was amazing! Best Buffalo shrimp wrap ever. Loved the rooftop bar and everyone working was very kind. Would go back next time I’m in the area!

Food was delicious! Only issue was that the poached egg on my crab cake wasn’t done, the white part was super runny so I couldn’t eat it. It was also absolutely freezing in there. But otherwise it was great and we’ll be back!

I read the other reviews I’m gonna give you the truth. This was the worst food I’ve ever had in my life The eggs were on edible seriously the grits the chicken, the French toast taste like something straight out of a box. It was simply bad, overpriced, and bad, bad bad.

Like most places at this beach, food is comparable to fast food quality. But the people were nice and the beach environment is cool.

Quick, casual, and delicious. It was the perfect place for my wife and I to sit down and have brunch. The staff was super kind and helpful. The food was awesome. Everything we tried was great and it gives you a nice view of all the beachgoers heading to the beach. I'd love to come back and try the rooftop bar as well. All around excellent little setup.
