We Have been coming here for years and love it
Room was not as clean as it should be, room smelled of mold and mildew, AC inside was covered in mold, barely used the balcony as the ac was leaking and had a puddle of algae and was slick right at the sliding door. We ended up getting sick with sinus issues the first day and the day we left due to mold exposure.
The view from the rooms are incredible which was a plus but I was just disappointed in the room overall. I do wish they had a access point to the beach without stairs
Don't stay here! Check-in was at 4. We didn't get our room till after 5:30. They we're giving out tokens for free drinks at the bar because of our wait.....This was my 1 year sober trip!!! Thanks, but I just wanted a shower and not temptation handed to me in the form of a token**this is illegal btw**The place was so UNORGANIZED. Whats even better is you get to pay for parking $20 a night and not be able to use the pool unless you want to swim in cigarette ashes and glass....yes glass and cigarettes at the pool are ok apparently. Just save yourself the $!!
Rooms were attractive but on the smaller side. Could do with door on shower as curtain didn't do a good job of keeping water off the floor. Pillows were lumpy and overly firm. Restaurant staff overwhelmed and understaffed but food was good. There is a seperate parking fee per day. Location is great and staff friendly.
Staff is friendly. Their Restaurant Rising Tide has amazing food and an even more amazing view. Rooms were good. Don't really understand the 20 bucks to park? Be aware that even when you are a guest at this hotel they CHARGE TO PARK!!!! I have never paid to park in the lot of a hotel I was a guest at. Bad business imho. Views are incredible. Snacks in lobby are super expensive. 5 bucks for a bottle of Pepsi? Island premiums are in full swing here- watch the prices or you may go broke.
We got married on the beach at the hotel and stayed here while we visited with friends and family. We had a few minor issues, but the recovery by the hotel staff was phenomenal.
We were greeted with swan towels and flower pedals on the bed, they roped off the beach area for our ceremony, raked the sand and added a seashell walkway. Amazing!
The conference room was setup perfectly too.
Judith, the GM was amazing and her staff went above and beyond to make our wedding a success. It is a dated hotel, but the staff will treat you right, the beach is not crowded, they put umbrellas and chairs on the beach for guests, they have a tiki bar and an awesome play area for kids.
We stay here often, but the new GM makes sure it is done right.
Shout outs to Maintenance, Housekeepers, outdoor staff, front desk. Thank you so much!
You are the most customer oriented staff we have encountered in the Atlantic Beach area. You are friendly, professional, attentive, proactive, and most courteous group ever.
Awful. Hot tub not working. Pool was freezing. Tiki bar closed down. Restaurant and lounge closed down. $20 per day for parking your own car is unheard of and ridiculous. Yet, customers are expected to pay every penny of the bill without major amenities promised on the website.. Don't tell me to call you; my previous contacts were ignored. This used to be my favorite hotel. I don't see myself going back.
Our stay was a mixed experience. The hotel unfortunately did not provide toilet paper or tissues for the entire duration, which made it feel disorganized and poorly managed. That said, the staff themselves were incredibly polite and tried to be accommodating.
As for the location, Atlantic Beach is very quiet — almost too quiet. It felt like a ghost town with very little happening, so if you’re looking for a lively beach scene, this may not be the place. On the other hand, the hotel is clearly geared toward travelers with dogs, so it could be a good fit if you’re vacationing with your pet.
We came hoping to explore the Outer Banks, but in hindsight, we might have chosen a different base.
5 stars for the price!
Water leaking from several places above upstairs balcony on balcony. Bottom of glass door window curtain filthy on both sides. Air conditioner controls and buttons grimy. Inside fridge soda holder either stained or dirty. Staff very friendly and prompt. Was not aware there was a $20 dollar per night parking fee until arrival at hotel.

Great location, be aware they will sneak parking charge $20 a day.
Great location! Wonderful beachfront rooms! Helpful & friendly staff! Will return!
Truly spectacular! Great view of the ocean from the balcony, phenomenal beach to swim, play or lounge. Pool was also very nice, there was also a hot tub. Restaurant connected, but we didn't have a chance to go, looked very nice though. Provided umbrellas and beach chairs. Comfortable beds, nice lobby, ocean access, pool and hot tub, what more could you ask for!
Good location. Right on the beach. Front desk staff are great. Rooms: Bathrooms are tiny. The maid service is non-existent! Highly disappointed in that. I mean no one comes. So no supplies. Towels , tissue, etc. Which sucks when have to pay so much for the room.
Very nice place and staff. Had a little issue, but overall I would recommend it.
