The restaurant was definitely understaffed on a Saturday night.
We did not mind the wait for the food, however, the appetizers came out cold, the burger was very burnt and somehow also cold, and the seafood did seem fresh, but it was overcooked.
The server did not seem to care much, and did not communicate about any of the kitchen issues.
The alcoholic drinks were decent.
Overall, the food was much too expensive for the quality, and the service was sub par.

Mediocre food for the prices. The atmosphere was like a casual diner, but the prices were more like a classier place. The service wasn't very friendly or helpful either.

Loved all the local art in the building. The bartender was the best worker in the entire place, she made amazing drinks and was on top of everything through the busy night.
Food was great and the drinks were better. Food took a little while but it was a very busy night and one of a few restaurants open for dinner. Get the tuna sliders if you’re undecided on an app, they were perfection.

We just had the BEST meal here. The filet mignon was so tender and melted in your mouth. Shrimp and grits absolutely amazing! And our waitress Isabella was spot on with everything. She was super sweet and attentive. 5 stars and two thumbs up! We celebrated my husband’s birthday tonight and left so satisfied! Thank you Ketch 55 and Isabella for the best dining experience!!! We found our new favorite restaurant!!!

My family and I found this place near our Beach house and we decided to try while on Vacation here in OBX, we were able to be seated only having to wait a short time and the menu had a pretty good selection of seafood!
I Had the Fish Tacos which were great, and I even tried one of the Oysters from an appetizer my family and I shared, The Oysters were also very good too.
The staff were helpful at explaining some of the menu varieties to us and even gave us some good recommendations.
The Only con I had was the price but everything else was a great experience here, I definitely recommend stopping by Ketch55 if your looking for a good and simple seafood experience here in OBX!

We are here on vacation and came in as a family to have dinner. We ordered and told the waitress that one of our family members had an extreme food allergy and could not ingest this particular food. We asked if that was in anything this family members would be eating. She said no. We were served our appetizers, and they started eating his food. She then returned to the table and said it was in the food don't eat the food. He had already ate it. We all had to leave to rush him out to get medicine and his eppie pen. No one else at the table got a chance to eat anything. When we told the waitress we had to leave she was trying to give me the bill .She was very upset that we said we are not paying for food we could not stay and eat. I could not believe No One from management was engaged or concerned about our family members health. Not one bit. This is appalling. I would never recommend coming here to eat, until food education on ingredients in the foods on the menu is understood by entire staff. These allergies can kill.
Awesome food with a great atmosphere. Amy, the waitress was very helpful with explaining the menu and the locals' top pick. I would highly recommend this place if you are staying local or even a day trip like we did all the way down from Corolla. The shrimp and grits were amazing. The swordfish was. a fresh catch and lightly blackened over pesto risotto.The blood orange crush was off the charts . We will be back
