We have a house in Avon and Oceanas has been our favorite especially the fish tacos. I haven't been down here in a couple of years and tonight I ordered the fried Mahi fish tacos. So disappointed! The fish looked like a fish stick and was dry. The slaw didn't seem fresh. I ate half only because I was starving. I'm so bummed.

I would come here again and again. The food is excellent.
Came for breakfast today. Was told that I couldn’t sit outside with my support animal because they sprayed poison on the deck. I was asked to provide my document, which I did, in order to eat inside. The manager didn’t approve it because “it’s not the same as we are used to seeing”. The hostess said I’m sorry. I said, “I’m sorry because my dog flys with me, lodges with me, travels with me and I’ve never had a problem. She said, “ma’am, I’m not doing this with you today, my manager said no.” Like really? Is it that difficult in OBX to get some kindness, consideration and respect, or possibly a meal? Not dog friendly clearly. I’d say not people friendly either.

Got the Mahi and oysters with sweet potato mash and mac and cheese. The Mahi was a paper thin filet. The oysters were fine. The sweet potato mash was cold, the mac and cheese was cold. Seasonings fell extremely short. I would not recommend. Whomever is cooking there just doesn't care anymore.
