If you think raw oysters aren't any good in July because the water is too warm, think again! John from Surf's Up delivers absolutely amazing raw oysters (thanks @kinnakeetoystercompany) not to mention a wide range of other amazing seafood. If you are in Hatteras/Avon Surf's Up is a must!!!

Friendly staff for sure! Purchased a half bushel of blue crabs, 5 clusters of snow crab legs and 2lbs of pealed shrimp. All was steamed to perfection, fresh and tasty! Thanks again!

We come to obx once a year from Pittsburgh and the first stop we make is surfs up! John and his employees are the best. Large variety of seafood and spices.Their steamed blue crabs are the BEST around ! We’ll continue to buy our seafood from them every time we vacation here!

The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The store is as clean as can be and they have a 100 sanitization score! The seafood was affordable and the freshest it could be. Our family purchased blue crabs, shrimp, clams and scallops. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend.

Went in at 4:00pm, the place was rocking with filling orders of steamed seafood, and my son and I started a line at the fresh seafood display. Bought some J.O. and lbs of fresh Carolina skrimp. The folks there were super nice and the seafood display looked really good. We were in and out pretty quickly even though they were rocking. Shrimp was so awesome at the house. So fresh and so tasty. Going back Friday for some swordfish and some blue crabs. Great place to go for what you are looking for.

Best seafood market on the obx. I have been going to surf's up for 10 years and the quality of local fish is great!
