Really wanted to love this place, but left with mixed feelings. We got there around 430, and it was dead. Our waitress was friendly to start with but then started to disappear for longer and longer gaps, even though there wasn't anyone else seated in her section. Food came fast and was pretty good. Only complaint was one of the three burgers ordered was under cooked. Would have said something but the waitress was MIA. Got tired of waiting so just got our bill paid and dipped. Noticed another table had issues with their food as well. Most likely try it again but with must lower expectations.

I have fond memories of being a little kid and going to the froggy dog for breakfast on our way out of OBX. Returned to Avon for a vacation January 2026 and was so grateful for the excellent food and service! Wonderful place. Happy memories. Would recommend to anybody :)

one of my favorite places to eat in Avon. I eat here every time I drive down. The sesame tuna and blackened tuna are out of this world, and I wish i could get the recipe for that rice and cucumber salad! The staff is so nice, and I always leave smiling whether we are eating in or taking out. We love this place so much we even got some catering from froggy dog for our thanksgiving. Tonight we got takeout, so pictured is the fantastic tuna I ate tonight!

We came to the Froggy Dog on our last night on vacation and we were very impressed. By far our favorite dining experience here. The steak was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes were absolutely to die for. Drinks were reasonably priced and yummy. Service was top tier. We definitely would recommend!

We stayed near the Froggy Dog the week of Thanksgiving. The whole restaurant was so amazing. As we recently found out my nephew is a diabetic. Everyone from the chef to the waitress were so helpful. Thank you so much.

This place is awesome! Food, service, and vibes are on point. Nan and Joey have taken excellent care of us each time we return. We are from the DC area and Froggy dog is on par with the restaurants we love there. Only once place we’ve been to does the salmon as well as Froggy chefs. I will be a Thai shrimp wrap by the end of the week!
