“Skylight Inn BBQ is the very best in Eastern NC BBQ in my opinion. It is simple and delicious. Wood cooked to perfection whole hog pork . Slaw,cornbread,and of course the banana pudding are a must addition to the BBQ.“

Food was delicious, we went for a weekend lunch and with 4 of us we got 4 meats 2 sides. Everything was delicious, the sliced brisket was so good my 10 year old kept widening his eyes mumbling, “it’s melting in my mouth”, I personally enjoyed the turkey the most but nothing let us down. Matt helped us on the floor with, some ketchup and Alabama white sauce, and even brought by some smoked chicken samples for our table, quite tasty, was very friendly and helpful. Thanks Matt. Sauces are unique and 6 are in the table personal preference will dictate your selection. “We drove by on Wednesday around 11:30am and the number of cars in the parking lot was a big surprise. Went inside and joined the line. The menu boards were a little confusing for first-time visitors and the atmosphere is no frills but as the bare necessities. After enjoying the fantastic food, the never ending line of customers and busy parking lot make perfect sense. It was so worth it! My bbq chicken was awesome. My husband devoured his fried catfish and said that the Lima beans were the best he’d ever had. It was so good that we are planning a return trip for tomorrow (Saturday). Don’t miss out! You won’t be sorry… or leave hungry.“

“Listen hear if they had one of these in NYC with the same service, manners, friendliness, AND food I might never cook again. They make Pork Skins warm & fresh (WAIT WHAAAAT!) It's fast food but they bring your food to u. Aaaand they let u taste test COME ON! LOVE, LOVE LOVE THOSE HOT FRESH HUSH PUPPIES. The only things that weren't to appetizing was this Brunswick Stew & the corn bread. The next time we visit we will go back there.“

“Came in on a Wed, visiting my daughter at ECU. Food and service were wonderful. I had the French onion soup with a house salad. Your White Balsamic dressing is the best and the French onion never disappoints. Service was quick, efficient and very friendly. Always try to stop in when I'm in town 😁“
