I have been here a total of 3 times.The first time I came, the food was so delicious that I had to come back again.Unfortunately there were new cooks and the food was not good.Janice waited on us and is just the most delightful person I have ever met in my life.I decided to come back ONE more time,just because Janice was so wonderful.Luckily she was still there and waited on us and when I tell you she is the epitome of customer service I am not exaggerating. The food was disappointing as they only had 3 cheeseburgers and I needed 5 and the wait time would have been 45 minutes.Then when we received our cheeseburgers they were burnt to a crisp and tasted like charcoal.The guy at the front was very professional and made it up to us with a replacement. Overall the SERVICE and ATMOSPHERE are great, however please get the old cooks back!! “My friends and I drove two hours to visit Skylight Inn BBQ and had a great experience. No frills place and the people were very nice. The chicken and pork were very good. I loved the vinegar sauce. The corn bread I got was very thin/hard (not pictured), but the one my friend got was nice and fluffy. Definitely worth trying.“

“It was way tooo cold to enjoy our meals!!! The food was great!!! I got a salad with ff and the fries were cold when they reached our table!! I noticed other people holding their shoulders!!! It should never be that cold in a restaurant to where your food is cold before reaching the table!! Had to sit in car with heater on afterwards and i had to go out to car to get my coat!!“

“Visited Sunday, St. Patrick's Day 2024. Arrived early for dinner maybe 4-5pm. By my guess, almost any place that has a coat and hat rack is going to be a good experience. Parkers definitely hits that mark. Excellent chopped (not just pulled) smoked pork and fried chicken. In Augusta GA I pay $15 for a regular BBQ pork plate with hash and rice and potato salad (no drink). Parker's family style (all you can eat) serving is $.50 more than that price per person with a drink. Service was exceptional - timely, friendly, and knowledgeable.Parking: Probably varies based on time of day. But Sunday early dinner there were very few guests.“

“Drove down from Raleigh to try all the Greenville BBQ places and Sam Jones was the second on our list. I've eaten at the Sam Jones in Raleigh several times and the winterville location was very similar. I enjoyed every single bite the barbecue was smoky and delicious. The coleslaw was sweet and the cornbread was absolutely perfect. My friend got the ribs which I had never tried and they were fall off the bone incredible! The location had a pretty good crowd for 3:00 on a Saturday afternoon, but we didn't have to wait on a table even with a big crowd. Definitely some of the best BBQ in the state and a definite top 3 in my book.“
