What a great spot. Our server was super attentive and very friendly. Solid menu. The deviled eggs were delicious as were the escargot and calamri. Their dry aged steak is worth it. Great spot, will for sure be back.

The atmosphere and the environment of stonewall was phenomenal. In regards to the burger I had ordered it was hardly seasoned and just overall very bland. Then the server wasn’t very helpful about making it right. Don’t recommend this place to anyone

Lady at the front desk , not nice at all

We just left. Jessica B was our server who is an absolute doll. Attentive without being overbearing. Perfect service. A 12/10. Food was spot on. Everything was lovely. Thank you for a great evening as usual. A real gem in Banner Elk.

Huge bourbon selection!
This is an edited review, I'm unable to post a photo of the the prime rib.
I had the 12oz prime rib w garlic mashed potatoes. It was absolutely delicious. The horse radish sauce was pleasantly mild. The service was outstanding. Nice quiet ambience was a guitar player on Fridays and Saturdays. Looking forward to coming here again.

The first thing we always do when we sit down at a restaurant is tell the server that I have a *severe* allergy to shrimp, crab, and lobster. I told our waitress right away, she wrote it down, and we moved on assuming everything was understood.

We ordered drinks (which were actually quite good) and two appetizers—calamari plus spinach-artichoke dip. The dip came out quickly, but after another 15 minutes of waiting, we learned the waitress had completely forgotten to put in the calamari order. Since we had our kids with us (ages 3 and 8) and timing is everything with little ones, we just canceled it.

We ordered two pizzas for the kids and prime rib with baked potatoes and asparagus for both my husband and me. Here’s where it got confusing: **all of our food—kids meals and adult entrées—finally came out at the same time after a 40-minute wait.** Kids meals are almost always brought out as soon as they’re ready, especially when families clearly prioritize timing, so I’m not sure how such simple items took that long.

My husband’s plate was correct, but mine was missing the asparagus. When I asked about it, the waitress told me it would be “awhile” and then offered me… a shrimp cocktail instead—despite me telling her *twice* that I’m severely allergic to shrimp, crab, and lobster.

The food itself was fine, nothing memorable, but the service issues were hard to overlook: the forgotten appetizer, the long wait for basic dishes, the missing side, and most concerning of all, offering a shrimp dish to someone with a documented shellfish allergy. Overall, a really disappointing and somewhat alarming experience.

We’ve eaten here now I would say five or six times. Everything has been delicious. The steaks are cooked to perfection. I’ve gotten the prime rib a couple times and never been disappointed. They also have some really good fish dishes that I’ve enjoyed. I believe halibut last time. Their French onion soup was absolutely delicious as well. Friendly polite staff I think this place gets it right every time!
